Scheduling Overview – This is how it works!
1. Information provided through IMPACT lessons (January- Juniors, February-Sophomores)
2. Classroom Presentations (January/February) – students receive a copy of their transcript, course information, and info on graduation requirements
3. Individual meetings with counselor (January/February) 4. Course selections sent to IMPACT for student review (late
April)5. Course selections mailed home for parent review (Late April)6. Course change window (April-May)7. Counselors complete F-changes and summer school updates
(June/July)8. School begins - schedule corrections (July/August)

Indiana Graduation Requirements
1. Complete required credits for one of the diploma types.
2. Earn employability skills through IMPACT class
3. Complete a graduation pathway: (ISTEP, Career Concentrator, AHD, THD, Dual/AP credits) Pathways Video

Graduation RequirementsCore 40 Diploma
• English 8 credits – English each semester of high school
• Math 6 credits – Algebra 1-1 & 1-2, Geometry 1 & 2
Algebra II-1 & Algebra II-2
• Science 6 credits – Must include Biology 1-1 and 1-2,
plus ICP 1 & 2, Chemistry or Physics
• Soc Studies 6 credits – W. Hist or Geog/Hist of the World US History, Government, Econ
• Health 1 credit
• PE 2 credits (PE 1 & PE 2)
• Electives 11 credits
• TOTAL 40 credits
Core 40 with Academic Honors*
• English, Science, and Social Studies – same as Core 40
• Math 8 credits• Core 40 Math requirements plus 2 credits beyond Algebra II (Pre-Calculus for IU and Purdue – check requirements for your college of interest)
• World Language 6 to 8 credits• 3 years of one language, or 2 years each of 2 languages
• Fine Arts 2 credits• Performing Arts or Visual Arts (band, choir, art classes, theatre,…)
• 47 credits total• Minimum 2.67 GPA with no grade lower than C- in required courses• Additional Requirements: (AP/ACP courses)

Choosing Elective Courses for Next Year
• If you have not passed ISTEP, or met one of the pathways listed below in red, refer to the chart containing the career clusters for guidance in selecting elective courses.
• Academic Honors Diploma • Technical Honors Diploma • Concentrator (6 credits within cluster)• AP/Dual credits• ASVAB• SAT/ACT• Industry Certification (through the Career Center)
Area 31 Career Center – a great opportunity to learn valuable skills for your future and meet a pathway option!
• Many are 3 hours, which takes up 3 of the 7 slots in your schedule each semester
• Attendance and discipline may affect your acceptance
• Some courses require your own transportation
