Theodore Roosevelt Big Game Hunting brought him to the
west In September of 1883 . By the time he got there the large herd
was gone by hunters and disease. Spent some time there and witnessed
virtual destruction of big game species. As a result conservation became one of
Roosevelt’s main concerns.
