Design for X X : Manufacturing- Modular Design- Product Platform- easy to add new features such as Fan for Drying- Very few joints and hinges
X: Assembly:- No need to be assembled inside Factory; Customer can do it due to easy assembly-Quick to assemble and dissemble; Easy to store
X: Packaging-Compact Packaging box; Less transportation space is occupied 1.1 x 0.2 x 0.1 Mtr sq.
Packaging Box
All parts inside the box in disassembled condition
Easy to Transport
Conclusion• Problem Addressed:- Modular in Nature- easy to handle and store- More cloths can be dried in less space- Protection from Rain- Drying arrangement for big cloth such as Sari & Dotti- Aesthetic appealingProcess Followed in Design and Development:-IDEO process for Idea generation- Kano Model and QFD for Customer Feedback and Requirement analysis- Design for X – Manufacturing, Assembly, Packaging
