IndianOil Quiz

A General Knowledge Quiz programme was conducted as a part of “ Abhiyan Abhivyakti” for the employees of Ref HQ, CO, IIPM on 21.08.2011. Around 15 teams of two members each participated in the programme. Mr. Deepak Taneja – PJM –(PDRP) and an eminent quizzer of Indian OilOil team conducted the Quiz. A written elimination round was conducted for all the teams which comprised of questions from all walks of life like Current Affairs, History, Geography, Mythology, Sports,

Science and Technology and various other topics. Four teams qualified for the finals. In the finals, seven rounds were conducted which included audio-visual and buzzer rounds. In a keenly contested quiz which saw the swinging of fortunes , the team comprising of Mr. K. Suresh – CM ( BD-GAS) and Mr. Jaimon Philip, PSM emerged as the winners while the team comprising of Mr. Piyush Dungrakoti- SPJM (PDRP) and Mr. Vineet Kumar- PJM ( PDRP) were at the 2nd spot. The team from CO(IS) com-prising Ms. Madhumita Acharya – M(IS) and Mr. Sourav Choudhary – DM (IS) stood 3rd in the competi-tion.....................................................................................................................................................

Ladies Day

As part of ‘Abhiyan Abhivyakti’ - an endeav-our to promote employee engagement activities, Ladies Day was celebrated on 17th August 2011 at Units and Refineries Hqrs...................................................

At Refineries Hqrs, a Programme for house-wives at Noida township on the theme ‘Power of spouse in Progress of the Corporation’ was organized on 17th August 2011 which was actively participated by approx. 90 ladies.................................................

Mrs. Ruia Bankapur, Chief Guest on the occasion, emphasized the role of women spouse as motivator and team-builder enabling our employees to contribute effectively towards Corporation’s progress. During her inaugural address, she expressed that every woman is having qualities of Goddess Laxmi, Saraswati and Durga for managing her household responsibilities effectively.

DuringDuring the day, a brief talk on the theme was given by Ms. Tullika Sinha and certain indoor games/activities, such as Tower Building, Straw Trail, T for Team Work and Fashion show focusing on team building and creativity were conducted.
