In Loving Memory of Deceased Jefferson Family Members Alize Jefferson (12), Tyler Davis (7), Christopher Jefferson (5), Elijah Taylor (2), and their devoted grandmother, Ann Jefferson (62) The community of South Plainfield experienced a devastating loss of five family members in a home fire on February 23, 2012. We came together back then to help the survivors through their most painful time. I recently visited Hillside Cemetery and was saddened to see that after nearly three years the deceased’s graves are only marked by tin markers. It’s the high cost of five gravestones and financial hardship that the family cannot afford permanent markers. My name is Hannah Rhoads. I’m a freshman at SPHS. As a former friend and classmate to Alize, this is close to my heart and I’d like to see the deceased have permanent grave markers on or near the 3 rd anniversary of their passing. The cost to purchase and install the gravestones is $5,200. I’m working with the Boyle Memorial Foundation. Cash, checks or money orders, made payable to the Boyle Memorial Foundation are tax deductible. Please return cash, checks or money orders, payable to the Boyle Memorial Foundation, to your school or mail/drop off to: Jefferson Family Gravestone Fund Drive c/o Rhoads 1820 Eganey Street, South Plainfield, NJ. For pickup, please call Barbara at 908-295-8748.
