SPECIFIC TYPE STYLES

From the type styles that I found I have narrowed it down the three different fonts and from there I have used colours that are often associated with the pop genre to make them more specific to the identity I am trying to create.

Final Font

Out of my specific type styles I have chosen to use this one as I think this will be a good font for the logo of my artist. I believe that it will increase the individual identity of the artist that I am making and having a logo, and therefore a brand, will help sell the artist’s image as well as their music. I have chosen blue as the colour as it is often used for males and I wanted to break this convention by applying it to my female singer.

CLOTHES

For the performance section of my music video my star will be wearing 2 different dresses. The clothes in pop music videos are often quite sexualised which is why I wanted the dress to be anything above knee length. As pop videos include a lot of bright colours I wanted to find dresses that are a bright colour or that have bright colours on them, with the exception of the black dress which is often known as ‘the little black dress’. I also wanted the dresses to tuck in at the waist or possibly show the waist so that it shows the form of the artists body as a way to sell her image.

SPECIFIC CLOTHIN

GOut of the research that I did into the different types of clothing I then looked at the different clothes that my artist had. There are many dresses to choose from as they all fit within the specification I was looking for. I had my artist try on all of the dresses so that I could see which would work best on her as well as to see which would work best for the pop genre.

Final OutfitOut of the many dresses my artist tried I decided that this one would work the best for the image I am trying to create. While this is outfit is not a dress it very similar an has all the qualities I was looking for. As the top is a crop top it allows for the figure and waist line of my artist to be visible and the skirt is quite short. Also as the colour of the dress is blue as it will break the convention that girls are always seen in pink, especially within the pop genre.

Final OutfitAs I plan to have two different dresses for two different locations then I decided to make the second dress the typical ‘little black dress’. The dress itself has thin shimmery lines that add to the pop aesthetic which I am looking to achieve. The dress is above knee length as well form fitting to sell the shape and body of the artist as this is a genre convention. This dress also allows for more skin to be on show than the previous dress.
