My Artist Paul GauguinBy: Catie HampshireBiographyPaul Gauguin was a leading French post impressionist artist. He was also involved in the synthetist movement. He was later recognized for his experimental use of colors and synthetist style. It was not until his death that his art was appreciated. His work was influential to the French avant-garde and many modern artists, such as Pablo Picasso, and Henri Matisse.
