Established in 1996, IIM Indore is the sixth in the family of state-supported management schools. The Indian Institute of Management Indore’s Management Programmes have received the first international accreditation from the highly respected Association of MBAs (AMBA, a UK-based accreditation agency). EPGP is a unique post graduate, long duration, on campus program offered by IIM Indore. The program attracts mid-career executives from diverse sectors ranging from Information Technology to Manufacturing, public as well as private sector and large corporates as well as SME’s. As an Instructor, it is very satisfying to use participant centric methods of learning as the batch diversity makes class discussions insightful.

Batch of EPGP has 41 students with 300+ years of work experience which makes them more focused, and practical. I really enjoyed teaching and interacting with the students. Our constant endeavour remains to teach not only Financial reporting & Analysis, but also to enhance the decision making capabilities of the individuals in consideration of potential organisational roles. We emphasise more on the exposure to industrial challenges and business dynamics of both domestic and global businesses. Competitiveness and determination of students make them more desirable for any organisation. I wish them all with successful career ahead.

Teaching the EPGP students is always an exciting experience. Their techniques and analytical skills make class discussions and group assignments more productive. The combination of these experienced professional and IIMI’s course structure makes a truly remarkable learning’s for students as well as for us. EPGP enables the students with more effective self and peer learnings. The students’ continuous engagement in discussions with me and among themselves even after the class, shows their true enthusiasm towards Managerial perspective of the Business.

InternationalImmersion

International Immersion Module of EPGP is a dedicated 5 week term at McCombs School of Business, UT, Austin, a top ranked University at USA. The School is well known for its engaged and purposeful community where great minds address the most pressing issues of world economy. This module is designed to disseminate the part ic ipants about the increasingly globalized economic environment and enable them to understand and compare the businesses in emerging and developed economies.

The prime objective of this module is to enhance the business acumen of the participants through company visits, meetings with business and government leaders and interactions with distinguished faculty at McCombs School of Business.  It aims to create a perfect platform for participants to learn global business and to broaden their knowledge about various aspects of rapidly changing economies in the world. This course encores the rigour of academics of IIM Indore, even outside the planet I.

Course outline covers contemporary topics o f g loba l bus iness such as Hyper Competition, Digital Networked Economy, Social Media and Business Analytics etc. The overall design of this program is to complement the theoretical underpinning with perspective from the latest industry practices facilitating the participants a smooth transition back to their domains post this intensive training.

Placement Procedure& ContactDetails

The EPGP placement committee and placement officer will work with recruiters to streamline the placement process. The student placement committee gets involved in the recruitment process right from corporate interactions to pre placement talks (PPT) and coordinating all recruitment related activities. They will help schedule PPT presentations (up to 2 rounds) to enable the representatives of companies to share the profile of their company, key aspects of business, work environment, opportunities, roles and compensation which will be offered to the students.

Application and Shortlists

Placement Interviews

The presentation is followed by a Q&A session, where students interact with company officials to get a better understanding of the company and potential roles. A typical PPT session is scheduled for 45 minutes. The sessions are in accordance with the academic calendar, and during weekdays the sessions are most likely to be held in the evening.

Companies can interview the students they have shortlisted, on the date provided by the EPGP placement office. The final placement interview gives the company and the student an opportunity to discuss the role in detail and make the right choice.

In response to job descriptions given by companies, interested students apply through the placement office. A detailed resume is submitted by the students as part of the application process. On the basis of student applications, companies are required to send shortlists to the EPGP office at least a week prior to their final placement interviews.

The company can make an offer to the student after the final interview. For an offer to be valid, it should include details of role, location, remuneration, and other relevant terms and conditions required by the candidate to make a decision. Negotiations on compensation and other terms of employment should be held in strict confidence between recruiter and the candidate. However, the company needs to inform the EPGP placement office to ensure effective and efficient hiring for all recruiters. The acceptance of an offer is governed by placement rules of the EPGP which are framed at the beginning of the academic year and may vary from year to year.

About Indore

Indore is a fascinating city with a blend of a rich cultural and historical heritage hosting a wide range of styles of the Maratha, Mughal, Holkar and British era.

Chhatris, Laal Bag Palace, Kanch Mandir are cues of its architectural excellence. Situated on one of India's oldest pilgrimage routes from Mahakaal at Ujjain on river Kshipra, to Omkareshwar on the river Narmada and onwards to R a m e s h w a r a m , I n d o r e i s embellished by several forts and rocky shrines: Mandu, Dewas, Maheshwar, Omkareshwar being the prominent ones.

Indore is home to the Madhya Pradesh Stock Exchange, India's third oldest stock exchange. I n d o re h a s l o n g b e e n t h e commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh and a major hub for t e x t i l e s , u t e n s i l s a n d manufacturing businesses.

Indore is popularly known as the `Street Food Capital of India'. A visit to the city's Sarafa Bazaar at night is sure to overwhelm you with the aroma of delectable delicacies cooking.

Apart from these, the rustic spirit of Chokhi and Nakhrali Dhani, heritage resorts on the outskirts of Indore fil led with varied traditional Rajasthani delicacies adds a Rajasthani flavour to the city.

Being situated in the heart of India, Indore has excellent air, rail and road connectivity with the metro cities namely Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and many more.
