Maritime trade has always been important for Barcelona, especially during medieval times, when Catalan rule reached all the way to Greece. Here you can take a closer look at the long tradition of Barcelonian seafaring. The large hall is especially impressive – it houses a replica of the galley known as the “Real”, which last sailed in 1571. It will take your breath away! This historic galley was involved in one of the most important battles on the Mediterranean Sea – as the flagship of the Spanish Armada led by Don Juan de Austria. Buses depart the hotel at 19:30.
