• Innovation & Incubation Centre (IIC) is an organization born with asole aim of converting the brimming potential of budding Engineers,Management students and Technocrats into technical achievementsleading to technical renaissance.

• IIC aims to encourage Research, Innovation and EntrepreneurshipDevelopment amongst the whole student fraternity and also amongthe small scale as well as large scale industries

• Becoming a resourceful and efficient medium for students,industries and government interaction.

• Proper detailed guidance for students regarding the research withthe concerned industries will directly benefit students as well asindustries. Students, actually fascinated towards research work, willbe provided allotted funds directly from IIC or the relevantinterested industry.

Objectives of IIC

• The main purpose of IIC is “Lab to Land” and “Entrepreneurshipdevelopment”.

• Suppose a student is working upon production of biodiesel bycatalyst method, but due to lack of resources, the successfullaboratory experiment cannot be transformed into a commercial orconventional fuel which is the ultimate endeavour. Here the lack ofresources to use biodiesel for commercial trials may be providedby the government or some interested industries.

• Innovation & Incubation Centre started on 19th August 2014.

• 700+ Members, 78 International Members (from different 7Countries) and 78 Committee Members.

• For Setting up Incubation Centre and Gujarat Innovation Centre weare supported by

– Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU)

– Government of Gujarat

– IC2 Institute Austin

Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD)

• Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive 2014, Ahmedabad was held inPandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) on 30th Sep. 2014in association with IIC – Innovation and Incubation Centre ofPDPU.

• The Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive (EAD) is one of the majorflagship events by Entrepreneurship cell of IIT Kharagpur. The EADconsists of a series of Guest Lectures and Workshops in 20 cities in20 days in the month of October.

• Total Participants : 550

My story session

• Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) and The IndusEntrepreneur (TiE), India organised "My story session" with Mr.Kaushal Mehta, Founder & CEO - Motif Inc. My story session is avery interactive, interesting and one of the most successful &well-received format of TiE worldwide.

• This session features successful established Entrepreneurs whoshare their journey that ended up being a success. It's anendeavour to reach out to maximum start-ups and the student'scommunity of the city to trigger them off to be an entrepreneur.

MIT Media Lab Design Innovation Workshop - 2015

• Innovation and Incubation Centre(IIC) PDPU and MIT Media Lab has successfully organised MIT Media Lab Design Innovation Workshop during 17th – 23rd January 2015.

• We received 1100+ applications from all over India out of which 350 applicants were selected.

• 28 faculties from MIT Boston, USA were mentoring the workshop which was divided in 10 different tracks.

• In this 7 Days workshop, we had developed 75 prototypes in various fields.

• In brief we can say that: 75 projects, 10 tracks, 350 students, 10 start-ups and 28 MIT Mentors

• The ASEAN - India Students Exchange Program was envisaged bythe Government of India in 2007, as a familiarization tool to buildgreater cultural and economic understanding between the twodynamic regions of Asia. Three such visits have already been heldsuccessfully, jointly conducted by the Ministry of External Affairs,India, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

• Total 125 students from different Asian Countries participated inthis event as foreign delegates. An abridged insight about IIC wasconveyed to them aided by presentation and brochures. Thestudents were deeply impressed by the idea and the objectives ofIIC.

ENERASIA - 14 (September 26 - 28, 2014)

• ENERASIA 2014, the three-day Global Energy Summit andExhibition was inaugurated at Pandit Deendayal PetroleumUniversity, Gandhinagar by Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Hon’bleMinister, Energy and Petrochemicals, Finance, Mines and Minerals,Government of Gujarat, on September 26, 2014. Dr. P.K. Mishra,IAS, Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister of India wasthe Guest of Honour on the occasion.

• The robust partnership between India and the United States inscience, technology, and innovation has benefited both countriesimmensely. Our collaboration has been vital in achieving sharedgoals, including creating economic growth and jobs, helping peoplelive longer and healthier lives, finding solutions to challengesaffecting both societies and with global benefits. This year, theConfederation of Indian Industry and the Indian Department ofScience & Technology are partnering with the United States for the20th Technology Summit and Technology Platform. The event washeld on 18,19,20 November, 2014 in Greater Noida, India.
