LSC2B PM is the way in which IEC62271-200 defines the basic construction of Medium Voltage Switchgear. LSC = Loss of Service Continuity 1 - LSC Category (Loss of Service Continuity) Clause 3.131: Category defining the possibility to keep other compartments and/or functional units energised when opening a main circuit compartment. LSC1: This form is not intended to provide service continuity during maintenance and may require complete disconnection of the switchgear from the system before accessing the interior of the enclosure. LSC2: This form is intended to allow maximum continuity of service of the switchgear during access to the compartments inside the switchgear LSC2A: When accessing components of one functional unit, the other functional units of the switchgear may be kept in service. LSC2B: In addition to the above LSC2A, in this category the incoming HV cables to the functional unit being accessed may be kept energised. xGear has the highest rating of LSC2B 2- PM = Metal Partitions Clause 3.109: Class defining whether metallic or non-metallic materials are used for the separation of functional units. The selection of partition class does not necessarily ensure personnel protection in the case of an internal arc in an adjacent functional unit. Class PM (3.109.1): Metal Partitions: Opened compartments are surrounded by metallic partitions and/or shutt3ers that are intended to be earthed. A shutter may or may not be in the opened compartment itself, provided that segregation is achieved between the components in the opened compartment and components in the adjacent compartments. The purpose is that no electric field is present in the opened compartment and no electrical field change may occur in the surrounding compartments. xGear has the highest rating of PM 2) IAC Classification: AFLR - A = Operator - F = Front - L = Lateral (Sides) - R = Rear

The low-voltage compartment is clean, clear and easy to understand with all control and protection clearly visible to the operator. Each LV compartment is designed to suit each project and is versatile and has room for most demanding applications. There is ample space inside the compartment to mount control terminals and relays. �LV Control cabling can be from top or bottom, inter-connections can run in a dedicated closed LV wire-way mounted above the LV compartment and runs the full length of the switchgear line-up.

Vacuum Power Switching Compartment
