Hello there fellow paper pur veyors! I can hardly believe how

quickly 2014 has f lown by, but (apparently) the holidays are

just around the bend! Admittedly, it’s hard to gear up for my

favorite festive time of year in this new climate–95 degree

days don’t exactly inspire the Christmas sentiment–but a

little research into mid-centur y Scandinavian folk designs

became the springboard for a really unique (and fun!) new

holiday line for this year.

With such an exciting year drawing to a close, as I look back I

am so sincerely thankful for stumbling into this wonderful

industr y that allows me to follow my passion for a living.

Idlewild Co. has really beg un a sprint-paced grow th over

the past few months and I’m grateful for your support and

feedback as I’ve learned along the way. I’ve brought a few new

people on board who I hope to introduce to our accounts in

the ver y near future and we’ve been hard at work planning

new product we hope you’ll love as much as we do.

H I S T O R Y I N B R I E F

Idlewild Co. is a boutique paper goods company founded in 2010 by artist, Katie Gastley. Originally operating from Brooklyn New York, the shop and studio were relocated to the sunny shores of Vero Beach, Florida in 2013. The company’s artful mercantile began with a pop-up shop selling prints of Katie’s hand-painted Brooklyn Neighborhoods series at the Renegade Festivals in McCarren Park, Brooklyn under the name “Rocket Ink.” Word began to spread rather organically through the borough and eventually Katie began to expand the business into a line of custom wedding work and personal stationery commissions. The studio proudly announced their full debut of retail paper goods at the National Stationery in 2012 & have watched (and worked!) excitedly as the brand has grown roots & taken shape. Our line can be found at brick-and-mortar locations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia & Japan.

M I S S I O N

Idlewild Co.’s mission is driven by the passion founder Katie Gastley has for unique, artisanal-quality products that offer a breath of fresh air in a sometimes overly-mass produced gift market. We use USA based local printers for 100% of our goods, and source all of our paper materials from sustainable FSC-Certified stocks.

Always beginning with Katie’s hand painted illustrations, our line is distinctly graphic with sometimes a bit of an edge–a fun & fresh alternative to correspondence of yore. We design everything at our beachside studio & partner with local print vendors in manufacturing. We assemble everything by hand in-house and aim to produce the high quality pieces our customers love themselves & love to share.
