1 IDEA StatiCa licenses support Error messages and tips This is a list of up to now reported error messages and tips what to do with them. Some of them are “doable” by yourself and for the rest, you need access to our database and IDEA StatiCa license server, which is operated only from the main office in Czech. In case you’re not capable of solving the problem yourself, send it to [email protected]. IDEA StatiCa licenses support Error messages and tips

This is a list of up to now reported error messages and tips what to do with them.

Some of them are “doable” by yourself and for the rest, you need access to our

database and IDEA StatiCa license server, which is operated only from the main

office in Czech.

- No license or expired license

- There is already some license activated, probably old trial

➔ deactivate the license. Send user ID to helpdesk, we send back the lost code to deactivate (follow tutorials in Resource center)

4. Account not found

- Wrong code

➔ copy the right code

5. UsedID: xxxxxxxxx License not found.

- Old license file – need updated one

➔ find the updated license file on your FTP, send email to helpdesk

- license is set on reactivation that hasn’t been done

➔ let the user reactivate the license

6. Invalid Key! [0x0603]

- Hardware change caused license crash

➔ need to delete keybase (c:\ProgramData\Key-Base\7200ab0d.053 (hidden, system file))

7. Invalid Registration ID!

- Mistake in IDEA database server – license was transformed from TRIAL to NETWORK, or

something else is wrongly set there.

- there was first installed IDEA StatiCa on the server and afterwards the Netkey tools for

Network license or vice versa – delete keybase (c:\ProgramData\Key-Base\7200ab0d.053

(hidden, system file))

- not deleted LicKeyTran in the Activation manager (change from Local -> USB license)

➔ send email to helpdesk

8. USER ID mismatch

- Activation broken – delete keybase and new activation

➔ send email to helpdesk

9. Transfer not allowed

- Deactivating license that is set on reactivation – first reactivate, then deactivate

- wrongly deactivated license on IDEA server – send to helpdesk (manually turn off and on the

license (checkbox + count)

10. User ID: 0 License is valid. Connected modules:

- Communication between server and client computer is blocked – either by firewall / antivirus

of Windows settings (sometimes its impossible to find the reason)

➔ let user change firewall / antivirus settings

- USB license has broken down, need to reset it for new activation

- there was a change from trial, local license -> USB license or vice versa, need to reset the

license on our server in Activation manager (delete LicKeyTran as well)

➔ send email to helpdesk

11. The activation is not applicable!

- Wrongly set new activation of license after it was lost on crashed PC

➔ send email to helpdesk

12. UserID: 0 Unknown error: Netkey: License is required!

- Too low TIMEOUT in the Network license settings on client PC

➔ set TIMEOUT to 10

- nkag20nt.exe blocked access to the server

➔ add exception for in the firewall

- there was first installed IDEA StatiCa on the server before NetKey server

➔ need to delete keybase (c:\ProgramData\Key-Base\7200ab0d.053 (hidden, system file))

- license has crashed for unknown reason – need to restart it and activate again

➔ send email to helpdesk

13. The request failed with an empty response.

- The company’s network has restricted access to the Internet or outside servers

➔ either allow the access for few seconds and activate the license, or add an exception for our

server http://www3.idea-rs.com/

14. Error writing key! [0x1e01]

- Broken license file

➔ send a new one, send email to helpdesk

15. Unknown error: License is required!

- After change of license it wasn’t reactivated

➔ send email to helpdesk

16. Windows socket error:

- Not an error – the GUI of NetKey cannot be opened while NetKey40EK service is running, this

is OK

17. UserID: 0 Unknown error: Netkey: Invalid Key device! [0x3c00]

- Message from client computer – the license on the server stopped working (hardware

change, etc.) it needs to be activated on the server again

➔ send email to helpdesk

18. ‘0:00:00’ is not a valid date and time.

- Time and date settings in Windows is not supported by NKLS

➔ it needs to be changed (usually from Norwegian to English (USA))

19. Error HTTP 417: Expectation failed

➔ In the installation folder of IDEA, delete “!” from the file !IDEALManager.exe (special settings

for some networks)

20. UserID: 0 Unknown error: NetKey: Cannot connect to the

NetKey License Server! [0x015100]

➔ Reinstall NetKey and set it on service instead of startup

- service is not giving license to the client (it can even look like it is running, also activation can

go through

➔ test by stopping the license and running the NetKey GUI application, you maybe need to

reactivate with opened GUI. Unknow reason?

➔ you must fill both IP address and server name (opposite to what we recommend?!)

- firewall on the server is blocking the communication

➔ follow the tutorial and add the exception in firewall

- IDEA StatiCa is running on the server (only 1 seat within the license)

➔ close IDEA apps and processes on the server

21. Invalid Key device! [0x3c04] or [0x3c06] or [0x013c84][bc]

- License can’t be activated (change of hardware, etc.)

➔ need to delete keybase (c:\ProgramData\Key-Base\7200ab0d.053 (hidden, system file))

22. NetKey: Error writing Key: Permission denied! [0x6200]

- Wrong (not enough) admin rights on the server

➔ log in / run register.exe as a administrator, change admin rights

23. UserID: 0 Unknown error: NetKey: Error reading Network Key

configuration file!

- In the path C:\Users\”user name”\AppData\Local there is no folder IDEA_RS created after

first run of IDEA StatiCa (it doesn’t work at all), probably blocked by a single file named

idea_rs.txt (or other format)

➔ just delete it and run IDEA StatiCa to create the folder and activate the license

24. UserID: xxxxxxxxx Unknown error: NetKey: Invalid Network Key!

- License activated on the server with register.exe.

➔ there is LOCAL license set on our IDEA servers and database instead of NETWORK – human

error

25. UserID: 0 Unknown error: Invalid Key! [0x0602]

- USB stick was “checked or repaired” by some software or WIN and the hidden keybase on it

got corrupted

➔ reset the license (send email to helpdesk) and prepare a new USB

26. UserID: xxxxxxxxxx Unknown error: NetKey: The program has

expired!

- Probably reactivation wasn’t successful and license isn’t activated

➔ just activate again

- Probably USB reactivation wasn’t successful and license isn’t activated

➔ just reactivate again.

28. UserID: 1907 The license has expired.

- Pirate copy

29. Unknown error: Invalid agent! (0x0) [0104]

- There is version 8 running already (starting application, process in background) - not solved

problem

30. Unknown error: License is required! [0x004a01]

ActSvr: No activation mode!

- Error on the IDEA license server – activation wasn’t done correctly, need to reset the license

(it seems activated and set for reactivation, but its corrupted)

31. Unknown error: Invalid agent! (0x57) [0101]

- Licensing process of version 8 in background

32. Unable to run register.exe

- When you run register.exe, nothing happens

➔ You can run it on other PC in the network (client PC) where you do changes in the Netkey.ini

file:

33. Unable to install IDEA StatiCa

- Due to some WIN account settings.

➔ Run in silent mode, while in the command line (run cmd) go to the path where the setup is

and there type

msiexec.exe /i IdeaStatiCa_x64_8.2.32.msi /qb (or qn)

34. Unable to run IDEA StatiCa, or strange behavior

➔ Delete temporary files: C:\Users\”user name”\AppData\Local\IDEA_RS

35. Manual integration of SCIA

➔ Go to the installation folder of IDEA, run this file as admin: SetIDEAInstallDir.bat

36. HASP license settings

➔ Viewing the HASP key in explorer: localhost:1947

37. RSTAB integration

➔ Check file in RSTAB folder C:\Program Files\Dlubal\RSTAB 8.13\RSTAB.ini

38. STAAD.Pro integration file

➔ Check file in STAAD.Pro folder c:\SProV8i SS6\STAAD\Plugins\IDEAConnection.vbs

39. System cannot find the specified file

40. Crash of a license due to hardware/system changes

HDD, CPU, BIOS, and Ethernet signatures:

When the user upgrades the computer hardware without deactivating the license properly (running

"transfer.exe -> copy the code -> click deactivate), the following happens. The Key still contains the

original hardware signatures. When starting the application thereafter, it will find that current

hardware signatures do not match the original ones saved in the Key. Typically, the error message

Invalid Key or Invalid Key device with an error code will appear.

Besides crashing of the license because of the hardware change (typical for virtual servers unless

there is permanent virtual hardware set) there are also other reasons that lead to license crash:

There are many reasons that might cause the Key to be corrupted. These include, but are not limited

to the followings:

The user reinstalls the OS.

The user accidentally removes the Key file.

The Key file is removed or modified by another program.

The Key file is somehow damaged, e.g. bad sector.
