News from IC

MC is still recovering from the most epic conference ever. To say that it was just great is to say nothing. IC was a unique chance to dive into completely different reality, where 124 countries are gathered in one place.

We got the chance to get to know our new AI better as well as global partners that are going to work with us this year.

Global Y2B Forum was full of challenging ideas that made us rethink a lot of things. LEAD was led by the most progressive speakers, including Dey Dos and his team.

We were present at the launch of GIS which starts a new era in AIESEC processes

During breakfasts, lunches and dinners we were making cooperations to ensure that our ambitious goal for the term is reached and we have the best supply of Eps for our TNs.

Now in more detail:

Things to focus on in September:

- Recruitment: finding right people for the team

One of the main things for now is to select a proper team. Please, make sure that you get the most profile-suitable newbies out of Recruitment. Together with VP TM make a profile of the ICX person that you’d like to have in a team and by this template members will be allocated.

- Finalizing education for the members

As leaders of the whole direction in the LC, make sure that you have a plan of educating your ICX TLs and members due to peaks in Ra/Ma/Re for proper understanding of the processes and building a pipeline for future successors

Page 10: ICX14-15 AIESEC in Switzerland newsletter. August-September

Things to focus on in September:

- Finalizing/distributing ICX goals (planning), defining focus sub-product etc.

A check-in point. All of you already filled in your Re goals for the whole year, distributing them into winter and summer Re peaks. Make sure you have a clear image in your head of how many you need to Ra & Ma (backwards planning) and at what time.

- Contacting previous TN takers (range – up to 2 years ago) for a meeting and re-Ra

Please, look through the CRM and contact all TN takers even from previous years (in case you have such). New people, new term is always a good possibility to re-Ra a TN. Send them a message with greeting, introduction and request to evaluate the experience they had with AIESEC before and maybe a meeting to discuss spaces for improvements and further partnerships.

Page 11: ICX14-15 AIESEC in Switzerland newsletter. August-September

Things to focus on in September:

- Trying out GIS

A veeeeery important step to take. In the nearest 2 weeks I will send you more detailed instructions as to how GIS works and what you need to try out, because in 48 days myaiesec.net will be shut and we have to ensure that our process goes smoothly on the new platform.

- Letting me know which countries-partners you are interested in for LC2LC cooperations

Have a look at the CYs-partners a few pages back, evaluate which kind of EP profiles you will need for your target prospects and let me know, so together with partnering MC we could give you contacts of the LCs that have such Eps.

Page 12: ICX14-15 AIESEC in Switzerland newsletter. August-September

Things to focus on in September:

- Planning Autumn Ra project (on the national level it starts from 18.10 till 10.12.

Please, make sure that you have a clear vision of the teams that you need for this project, their JD, timeline, concrete goals and supporting initiatives (the ones from SumCo). We remember that this very project is focused on Raising and Matching TNs (Re comes after and is not a part of the project) because we need to intensely focus on Ra TNs if we want to grow and provide more experiences.

In case of any questions, doubts, challenges, clarifications always approach me, since project-based structure is new to the reality you are used to, the main thing is that everyone has a clear picture.

Walk a Talk

2 months ago our MC got marvelous workshops on “productive networking” from one of our trainers-partners Rudolf Klaus. He gave us some nice tips on networking, sales meetings and partner relationship management.

One of them is so-called Iceberg effect. Words seem to be not the most important part of a person’s perception of us. Though, any of these shall be neglected, here is the percentage of what influences our image the most.

Networking: Iceberg effect

Why shall we usually give No more than 3 benefits while presenting our services (products)?

7% - words we say

37% - rhythm and speed

56% - non-verbal factors

Now question for you, guys. Please, feel free to share your thoughts. I would be veeeeeeery glad to hear your opinions!
