Besam VersaMax ICU/CCU sliding doors for patient rooms maximize clear door opening to satisfy the demanding needs of patient transportation and meet NFPS and local code requirements. Featuring revolutionary equal leaf design, the Besam VersaMax offers the largest clear door opening in the industry – 41-1/2” on 8’ packages. No restrictions for trackless design, positive latch, or C handles on both sides of the door. Surface mount packages are also available.

Besam VersaMaxSURFACE MOUNT

Ideal for older hospitals and retrofits in which space is limited, the surface mounted two panel doors can be installed on an existing door frame without any structural modifications. This makes it easy to bring the Besam VersaMax features anywhere.

Besam VersaMaxTOUCHLESS

Because it conveniently opens for patients and staff with a wave plate, the Besam VersaMax Touchless door package is ideal for isolation rooms. Significantly reducing contact with handles, this helps facilities reduce the risk of spreading disease. Additionally, an overhead presence sensor ensures safe operation.

Besam VersaMaxSWING

Easy to use or break out, our ICU swing doors offer an extremely wide door opening without floor tracks and can be equipped with a single panel, equal panels, or unequal panels. Non-smoke rated packages also feature automated swing leafs for additional ease of use.

Besam VersaMaxTELESCOPIC

With its ability to increase door opening space by 33%, our telescopic package features an internal transmission, which eliminates noise and delivers a smooth, simple opening and closing.

Smoke Control

Smoke rated packages certified to UL1784 are available with t-slotted seals, concealed sweeps and positive latches. The package is designed to handle the weight of heavier insulated glass with internal glass blinds and is available with an STC rating. Further enhance your door with a non-powered self-closer, anti-static system for electrical grounding or active leaf dampeners to limit breakout to 90degrees.

Sound Control

Research has proven that higher than recommended noise levels can have a negative impact on patient care, communications and the healing environment. The Besam VersaMax is available with an STC rated package to help reduce sound transmission and contribute to your sound transmission control measures.

Hygiene Control

Active procedures, such as frequent hand washing, stringent cleaning measures and aggressive patient screening, form the basis of most infection control programs. These tactics can be complemented by passive measures that improve overall facility hygiene. Besam VersaMax is available with MicroShield coating on door handles or the entire door package. This antimicrobial technology is a silver-based resin that continually suppresses bacteria growth.

Privacy Blinds & Electro Static Glass

Further equip your Besam VersaMax door with one of our upgrade glass options. Electro static glass or glass with integrated mini blinds not only offer great convenience, but also provides enhanced privacy while lowering infection risk and eliminating laundering costs.
