The ServiceDesk is the "Single Point of Contact" (SPoC) for the customer and responsible for
the recognition, classification, redirection, tracking and solution of "Incidents", including their
documentation. The main objective is to provide a solution in a timely manner, to keep the
negative effects on the business process as minor as possible.
The ServiceDesk also handles "Service Requests" for 1st Level support, service
enhancements, to deliver hardware and provides the user with general information (e.g.
status updates).
To ensure the traceability, all tickets are gathered in the Trouble Ticket Tool and handled
according to ITIL standards.

Quick Access to Change Note:
Each Change Note can be opened directly by using the Quick
Access Change Notifikation Field
e.g. TEST% shows all change notes that match the search, a click on
a entry opens the CHGN mask with the corresponding change note.

In the Profile Manager certain Profiles can be generated and saved. You can specify the searchable columns, what values you want to
search, visible columns as well as the design and layout of the shown screen.

Similar to the creation of materials, the application is

All parts of the product „Modell G-KLASSE“ of the acquisition type „Kaufteil“ shall be assigned to UPP XYZ.
Assignemnt rules for UPP „SAF“:
All those material versions of the product „Modell G-KLASSE“ are assigned
which
• Are being used in the C463/FB-BOM,
• Are linked to a request in the status > 8120,
• linked to a PEM-Umfang extent between 100 and 999 and the serial
acquisition type of the material version is either „manufactured part“ or
„purchased part“,
• show a prototype-acquisition part differing from the serial acquisition part and
the protype acquisition type is either „manufactured part“ or „purchased part“,
UPP-Status

Status N
When a part is first linked to a UPP-list, it is set to the satus N (new)
Status U, Status G
When a part is changed (a new material version is assigned to the UPP so to speak) the newly assigned part
version is set to the status G (changed), the former version is set to the satus U (invalid).
Status E
Status E (omitted) can be set manually.
If a so called „omittance logic“is activated the part version in UPP is automatically set to status E, if there no longer
is a valued BOM position for the part.
Status X, Status Y (only relevant, if an assigmement rule is configurated for an UPP)
Status X means that the assigment rule is no longer valid.
Status Y means that the assigment rule is once again valid. Status Y should be checked manually and set back to
status G for example.
Status Z (only relevant, if an ommitance rule is configurated for an UPP)
Status Z means that a part which no longer had a valid BOM position now has such a BOM position once again.
Status Z should be checked manually and set back to status G for example.
All other status values (D, F, L) are OEM specific and currently not being applied very much.

Roles
In order to make an UPP-list visable for a user an UPP role needs to be created (as a rule that of the UPP editor)
and requested via the IT-serviceportal for every single product.
Restrict write permission
Basically UPP-attributes can be edited. For critical attributes there is the possibility of restricting write permission for
certain pre-defined user groups. Example : Procurement duartions can be edited only by the purchasing
department .
Freeze cells
There is the posssibility of freezing cells when certain requirements are fullfilled. Example: If the target date lies in
the past the target level is froozen thereby ensuring that planned dates can not be changed later on.
History
Furthermore there is the possibilty of recording a history for defined UPP-attribute changes. Thereby all changes
can be verified.
