COMEDYMENTALISM
COMEDY
MENTALISM
1. The best material comes naturally!(Even if your comedic voice doesn't.)
THE DISENCHANTED KINGDOM!
JOHN HENDRIX
PRIEST?
MECHANIC?
GYNECOLOGIST?
2. Write about what you love. (And find the reasons why.)
SHARON CUNETA
KC CONCEPCION
PIOLO PASCUAL
3. Write about what you hate. (And exaggerate the annoyances.)
4. Write about what scares you.(And absurdify what you don't get.)
LADY GAGA
GAGA LANG SIYA, HINDI SATANISTA.
5. Know your memes.(They will serve you well.)
6. Just look around you!(Let real life write the jokes for you.)
7. The Rule Of Three (And other basic comedy standby's.)
QUINITO HENSON
BONG “THE HAWK” HAWKINS
BONG “THE RAVEN” RAVENA
MICK PENNISI
8. Write in list format. (So you know where you're going.)
CONCLUSION:So you're not naturally funny...
Big deal! Unless your name is Professional Heckler, Dan O'Brien, Mike Unson, or Rex Navarette, nearly nobody is!
On a regular basis, it's harder to make people laugh than cry.
Keep experimenting! Keep on keeping on! Don't take being funny too seriously! Everybody can
afford to laugh at themselves sometimes.
THANK YOU!
