The spirit of N.

Every new chapter has a beginning. This is ours. The i30 N is Hyundai’s first true high-performance car developed to debut the N division and redefine the way in which the world views our vehicles. With the award-winning third-generation i30 as its basis, the i30 N has been created by a team of talented, enthusiast engineers to deliver uncompromised driving exhilaration on both road and track1, without sacrificing the civility and comfort needed for daily enjoyment.

1. Whilst the i30 N has been designed for ultimate fun on the track, the vehicle warranty does not cover defects if the vehicle is used under racing conditions, speed endurance trials and timed or rallying competitions. Please refer to warranty terms and conditions for details and exclusions.

The i30 N was born in Namyang, Korea, at Hyundai’s global R&D Centre, then honed at the Nürburgring, nicknamed the Green Hell, arguably the most challenging race track in the world and home of Hyundai’s Testing Center. It was only through a punishing development program that took in nearly 500 laps at this unforgiving circuit, and around 10,000 kilometres of testing overall, that we could make a model truly worthy of being the first to wear the N badge.

The heart of any high-performance car is of course its engine.

The i30 N features a specially developed 2.0-litre four-cylinder powerplant featuring direct injection, variable valve timing and twin-scroll turbocharging to produce 202kW and 353Nm.

A high-capacity cooling system ensures this engine runs at optimum operating temperature, even when the heat is really on.

An overboost function allows peak torque to rise to 378Nm for brief full-throttle applications, delivering exhilarating performance.

Acceleration is urgent; thrilling, while overtaking moves are dispatched with swiftness.

a significant body G load is detected, assisting in big bump recovery and improving overall vehicle stability. Ride Control performs road surface detection, and selects the appropriate damping force for the impacts detected by the vehicle’s G sensors. Finally, Load Transfer Control contains roll, pitch and yaw. This function reduces dive under brakes, improves turn in, and allows the i30 N to extract maximum adhesion from its tyres in dynamic driving.

Electronically controlled suspension. To deliver optimum ride and handling regardless of road surface, the i30 N is fitted as standard with Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS) featuring three selectable damping modes: Normal, Sport, and Sport+. Yet it’s not as simple as Soft, Medium, and Hard. The sophistication of this system allows continuous damping control, independently adjusting the compression and rebound damping force for each of the four dampers all the time. ECS incorporates three primary control functions: Event Control can intervene with greater damping force when

The entire chassis of the i30 N, from suspension, steering, brakes and tyres, has been thoroughly revised to delight and thrill driving enthusiasts. A lower, firmer suspension tune combined with the adjustability of electronically controlled dampers means the i30 N delivers exceptional turn-in characteristics and body control, without sacrificing the ride compliance needed for daily driving comfort.

Corner-carving brilliance. The electronically controlled mechanical limited slip differential (e-LSD) uses a hydraulically actuated clutch pack to distribute torque intelligently between the two front wheels depending on throttle inputs, steering angle and cornering force. This technology reduces wheelspin and understeer while increasing traction and cornering speed, thus allowing the driver to extract maximum performance from the i30 N.

Superior steering. Extensive upgrades to suspension hardware, as well as suspension geometry revisions over a standard i30, ensure brilliant dynamic performance. Zero scrub radius makes the steering more precise, delivering faster on-centre response and improved linearity. To provide greater levels of precision, feedback and driver connection, the electric motor that provides steering assistance has been moved from the column to the rack. The number of turns lock to lock has been reduced to just 2.14; faster steering equals greater responsiveness and agility.

Performance, reimagined.

For the driven. Launch control. So you already know the i30 N was developed at the world’s most punishing race track, and has the suspension, tyres and brakes needed to deliver in the extreme environment of a circuit. But did you also know the i30 N features Launch Control, to let any driver make a perfect, fully optimised standing start like a professional driver every time? When selected, Launch Control enables the driver to select first gear, flatten the throttle, modulate the clutch, and allow the system’s sophisticated electronics to manage torque output, minimise wasteful wheelspin and make the quickest getaway possible.

Rev matching. The six-speed manual transmission has been optimised to provide short, positive throws of the lever, with ratios intelligently chosen to maximise the engine’s power and torque characteristics. Internally, the gearbox benefits from an uprated gearset for durability, while carbon-faced synchronising rings ensure smooth, crisp shifts every time.

Enhancing the manual gearbox is automatic rev matching, a function that automatically blips the throttle on downshifts, faithfully replicating the ‘heel-and toe’ technique used by advanced drivers to deliver smooth downshifts where revs and road-speed are perfectly synchronised. However this feature can be disabled for skilled drivers who demand the ultimate control and performance driving experience.

Whilst the i30 N has been designed for ultimate fun on the tract, the vehicle warranty does not cover defects if the vehicle is used under racing conditions, speed endurance trials and timed or rallying competitions. Please refer to the full terms and conditions for details and exclusions.

N Drive Mode System. No matter what the road or driving conditions, the i30 N has a mode to suit. Choose from five individual drive modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, N or N Custom settings, activated by two dedicated buttons on the steering wheel. Crucially, all the discrete parameters of engine mapping, damper firmness, steering weight, e-LSD characteristics, stability control and exhaust sound level can be individually selected and saved via the N Custom setting, allowing unprecedented tailoring of the i30 N’s driving experience. In fact, the N Custom mode allows a possible 1,944 combinations to be selected.

Sounds like a hot hatch. So how does it sound? The i30 N’s Active Variable Exhaust System is a twin-outlet installation featuring three settings, allowing the driver to select the ideal level of exhaust sound for the conditions – keep it subdued around town, or allow the engine’s full vocal range to be enjoyed when the open road or track1 beckons. In its most sporting setting, throttle lifts and downshifts bring a thrilling volley of rasping crackles and pops that have to be heard to be appreciated.

Drive it your way.

Form and function. The i30 N features an exterior designed to cheat wind and win hearts. The front headlamps are distinguished by a black bezel; the aggressive front bumper features larger air intakes and incorporates functional brakes ducts to channel cooling air to the red brake calipers with N logo residing behind the unique 19-inch aluminium wheels. At the rear, a more aggressive rear bumper and apron team with an aerodynamic spoiler featuring a signature triangular brake light. The body revisions do more than contribute to a great appearance; they reduce drag, increase downforce and enable the i30 N to feel glued to the road at speed.

The interior of the i30 N is unlike that of any other Hyundai. It starts with sports front seats, available in cloth or suede effect/leather1 which are designed to provide exceptional support and comfort. Extendable under-thigh cushions for both driver and front passenger2 further enhance this. In front of the driver sits the bespoke N steering wheel with dedicated N-mode button, as well as an N-specific race computer which features a lap timer, G-force meter, boost gauge, and launch control. The shift timing indicator positioned at the top centre of the cluster indicates when to shift gears for optimal track driving. The exclusive N sports interior is tailored to seduce and satisfy the enthusiast driver.

There’s a reason why our iCare program has won awards1. We built iCare around one simple, innovative idea. That comprehensive on the-road care should come standard with every car.

Our five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty2 means you’ve got the freedom to go ahead and drive without having to keep an eye on the odometer.

When you look at our Lifetime Service Plan3, the benefits speak for themselves. Regular servicing, at a set price, by factory-trained Hyundai technicians. Not only will that keep your i30 N in peak condition – it’ll give you absolute peace of mind.

And since every new Hyundai is built to the highest standards, we’ve got the confidence to offer a Sat Nav Update Plan4 and 24/7 Roadside Support5 for up to ten years when you service with us with us regularly.

1. 2015 Canstar Blue Innovation Excellence Awards (5 Stars). 2. 5 year/unlimited km warranty: Applies to new passenger vehicles used for private/domestic purposes. Excludes vehicles used at any time for ‘commercial application’ as defined in the vehicle warranty policy, for which a 5 year/130,000km (whichever occurs first) warranty applies. Whilst the i30 N has been designed for ultimate fun on the track, the vehicle warranty does not cover defects if the vehicle is used under racing conditions, speed endurance trials and timed for rallying competitions. Refer to full warranty terms & conditions for details and exclusions. 3. Lifetime Service Plan: For the benefit of Hyundai owners, Hyundai provides online quotes which specify the maximum price applicable for a vehicle’s next scheduled maintenance service at a participating authorised Hyundai dealer and using genuine Hyundai parts (where required). Online quotes are available at hyundai.com.au, apply for a stated effective period only and may change after that effective period without notice. Standard scheduled maintenance services are of limited scope. The benefit of online quotes is available for all Hyundai vehicles, for their lifetime. 4. Sat Nav Update Plan: Maximum number of 9 updates delivered on an annual cycle which must be undertaken within 10 years of the vehicle’s purchase. Complimentary map updates apply only if the vehicle completes a scheduled service at a participating Hyundai dealer. 5. Roadside Support Plan: Complimentary 12 months Roadside Support when you purchase a new Hyundai passenger vehicle (excluding rental buyers). Further Roadside Support extensions are available, each for 12 months from the date of a scheduled maintenance service at a participating authorised Hyundai dealer (unless vehicle is more than 108 months (9 years) from the original new car sale date, in which case entitlement to Roadside Support ends when vehicle reaches 120 months (10 years) from original new car sale date).

Your support team.

The choice is yours.

In a nutshell.

Keep your Hyundai by paying any amounts owing on your finance contract or applying through Hyundai Finance™ to refinance the loan residual balance.

Retain

Trade in your Hyundai at your preferred Hyundai dealer and apply for another Hyundai CarPlan™ giving you the chance to step into the latest Hyundai model and continue your journey with us.

2.

3.We’ll then tell you:

• How much your regular payments will be over the finance contract term.3

• We’ll also give you a copy of the Fair Wear & Tear Guidelines, setting out the condition requirements you’ll need to maintain over the finance contract term to avoid any adjustments to your Guaranteed Trade in Value under the CarPlan™ terms.4

1. The Guaranteed Trade in Value is not a representation by Hyundai Finance™ as to the likely market value of your vehicle as at the end of your finance contract. If the Guaranteed Trade in Value applies and the vehicle is not returned in an acceptable condition, as defined in the terms and conditions or exceeds kilometre restrictions, the Guaranteed Trade in Value will be reduced and you’ll be required to pay the difference. 2. The feature is available on all new and demonstrator Hyundai vehicles on selected models only. Please verify with your dealership which vehicles are eligible for the programme. 3. The Hyundai CarPlan from Hyundai Finance is a feature which ensures you receive the Guaranteed Trade in Value (determined by Hyundai Finance) at the end of the term of your contract when you trade it in at a participating Hyundai Dealer in accordance with the terms and conditions. To exercise the feature your vehicle must be inspected and assessed by a participating Hyundai dealer at the end of the term of your finance contract. Adjustments to the value may apply. You receive the Guaranteed Trade in Value for the car if you exercise the feature at the end of the term and purchase a new or demonstrator Hyundai at the same time. The amount you receive on trade in will satisfy the final repayment, even where the trade in is less than the repayment amount.

How does Hyundai’s new CarPlan differ from typical Hyundai financing?

Maintaining your vehicle.

Is Hyundai’s new CarPlan right for you?

Hyundai CarPlan™ will ensure the amount you receive on trade in satisfies the final repayment, even where the value of the trade in is less than the final repayment amount.1 If the trade in valuation is higher than the Hyundai CarPlan™ value, the difference can be used as equity towards your new or demonstrator Hyundai when you purchase it.2

Greater confidence.

You have the option to include things like Pre-Paid Service Plan,3

insurance and accessory costs as part of your fixed-rate loan agreement.

More options.

You may decide on the term for your finance contract, the deposit you would like to pay (if any) and the kilometres you intend to travel.

A personally tailored solution.

At the end of the finance contract term, you’ll have the choice to keep your Hyundai, or trade it for a brand new one.2

Greater flexibility.

To ensure you enjoy the full benefits of the Hyundai CarPlan,™ your Hyundai must be in an acceptable condition when you are trading it in for your new Hyundai2 and must not exceed the kilometre limit you have selected. Of course, we also understand that some reasonable wear and tear is to be expected, but it needs to remain within the provisions of your Hyundai CarPlan™ contract and Fair Wear & Tear Guidelines.

Where the vehicle is not in acceptable condition or where you have exceeded your kilometre limit, the Guaranteed Trade in Value of your vehicle will be reduced.

Hyundai CarPlan™ is just one of many options available from Hyundai Finance,™ so there may be another product that suits your individual needs better. Have a chat to your participating Hyundai Dealer about what’s right for you.
