The photographs are of the actual grains in this particular mount. The X-ray spectra are taken fromgrains of the same batch, and are given as an assurance that the material is in fact what is claimed.These spectra were generated by a 15keV electron beam and collected with a Kevex energy-dispersivespectrometer with a resolution of 190eV, sensitive to X-rays greater than 0.6keV The use of a 20kVelectron beam would enhance the sensitivity of the heaviest rare earth elements. In all cases, spectra areconsistent with the compositions given.
