— Slopes bring out the best in the Structural MS. Even on inclines it will continue to work accurately, particularly when combined with the HillMaster planter belt self-levelling system. This has made the Structural MS a worldwide bestseller.

> The buffer belt transports the seedpotatoes from the hopper onto the wide planter belt, where they are singled into a continuous row. The unique foam roller ensures the best possible plant spacing, while infrared counter sensors keep track of the exact planting numbers. Covering discs close the furrow.

— Thanks to the articulated, side-shifting drawbar, the planter can be offset behind the tractor.

— The large hopper makes filling the front loader from a box very easy.

MS Structural MS belt planters

— The belt bed consists of 24 belts, rotating in different directions and at different speeds. Its integration with the vibrating feeder ensures the most efficient transportation and singling process possible. The splitter above the belts prevents potatoes from the supply belt from interrupting the singling process.

— If required, a set of 2 spray tanks can be fitted to the front of the planter.

— The Structural also allows you to apply fertilizer during planting. The fertilizer tanks are mounted on a special frame and are driven by a spur gear or hydraulic motor.

> Structural planters are built to customer specifications, i.e. exactly the way you want.

> Unique features:

— Ease of access is essential to the user-friendliness of the machine. The wide hopper can be easily filled using a small conveyor belt or box tippler.

— The tipping hopper indicator alerts the user when the product supply from the hopper to the conveyor belt is too low. The hopper works in combination with the valve block and tips automatically to maintain a constant product flow.

— The IR counter sensors accurately monitor the number of seedpotatoes planted. This and other important information is shown on the planter’s HMI display.

— Structural belt planters come with a choice of control system: MS-Basic or MS-Control. Both

systems are easy to operate and feature clear HMI displays that show detailed planting information.

The Miedema CP 42 is an ideal machine for combined soil preparation, planting and ridging in a single pass. This guarantees you a savings not only on labour and machines, but on fuel too.

— The cups have been specially designed by Miedema and are suitable for a wide range of seed potato varieties and sizes. The splitter prevents more than one potato per cup from being transferred to the planting tube. > Potato-friendliness during the transport of the potatoes within the machine was accorded the highest priority during the development of the Miedema CP 42. For this reason the CP has a large upper roller and a small lower roller, a parabolic planting shaft, and optical misses monitoring. This makes the planter both highly reliable and accurate.

— The Eagle-Eye sensor closely monitors the planting process and provides you with the exact information you need to ensure an even crop and a high yield.

— The HMI control screen allows for comfortable operation from within the cab and displays extensive information regarding completed surface, misses checks, etc. Another important factor to note is that all Miedema planters are GPS-ready.

— The powder dosing device ensures that the seed potatoes are fully and accurately powdered. The powdering devices are switched on automatically when the planting elements are activated.

— The rear-drive wheels of the trailed planter can be controlled easily using an external GPS assisted steering system.

— Capacity is key in the design of the CP 42P. Its large hopper has space for up to 3 tons of potatoes.

— Smart-Float: automatically controls the tilling depth of a trailed combination. The use of a sensor and intelligent software ensures that precisely enough soil is tilled, resulting in fuel savings.

— Miedema MR-Control is a unique system which ensures that there is a constant amount of soil in the ridging hood. MR-Control monitors and corrects the ridging hood pressure, resulting in a tight and constant ridge. The system also reduces the pulling power needed, which will save you fuel.

Over 70 years of history

Lykele Miedema laid the foundations for the modern Miedema factory we see today back in 1940. Starting out with manufacturing farm trailers and hay conveyors, the focus of the company shifted increasingly throughout the eighties and nineties towards developing machinery for potato growers.

This strategic choice was followed by the acquisition of the Structural and Hassia potato planting machines, which were to make Miedema the leading global specialist in the development, production and sale of machines for planting, transporting, grading, storing and collecting agricultural produce.
