ESF 12 – Energy• Current Operations –

Power (Ivan):– There are no Estimated Times of Restoration from the cooperatives.

Their total outage is only 2,619 customers out of the total outage of 91,832.

– Gulf Power has the balance of the outages, 89,213 customers. – GPC Estimated Times of Recovery are as follows: GPC has re-

energized 100% of its substations. All transmission lines have been restored with the exception of 1 segment that is is not considered critical.

– GPC has completed restoration efforts in Niceville, Valparaiso and parts of Destin. This does not include Holiday Isle.

– Outage percentages are Escambia 45% and Santa Rosa 38%. – The estimated time of restoration by GPC is: 95% back in service for

Escambia and Santa Rosa by midnight October 6.– The restoration in Okaloosa and Walton counties is essentially

complete.– Approximately 5,700 personnel are working storm restoration. – Efforts are being made to give priority to restoring service to schools

that are in a position to accept service in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties

(Fuel)– Three major ports are open, receiving ships and filling tankers.– Fuel supply to the Panhandle is by truck from ports and tank

farms in FL, GA. & AL. – Port of Pensacola not accesable by water due to channel

obstructions. Delivery of replacement product is being handled by tanker trucks.

– Petroleum volumes can handle evacuation traffic on I-95 and Florida Turnpike.

– Five of eight major petroleum companies report that the following amounts of fuel will arrive in the state:

– 93.9 million gallons within 72 hours.– 166.1 million gallons within 9 days.

– Statewide supply of gasoline and diesel exceeds pre Hurricane Frances volumes. Individual petroleum companies report high and low volumes of specific fuels, but overall supply distribution is good.
