The Pump Range

Designed to comply generally with therequirements of API Standard 674, ourpositive displacement, reciprocatingpower pumps are capable of dischargepressures up to 2750 bar (40,000 psi)and flow rates to 773 lpm (46.4 m3/hr /7003 bpd / 205 usgpm).

They complement the Hughesmanufactured Dualway range of APIStandard 675, controlled volumepositive displacement pumps, toprovide ratings from 0.37 to 375 kW(0.5 to 500 hp).

The pumps are ruggedly constructedand produced in nine frame sizes, eachincluding a range of plunger sizes. Thisallows selection of the ideal pump forthe job, with a compact design, highpower to weight ratio and a choice ofconstruction and seal material to suitthe specific application.

In addition to the more common triplexpump layout, five cylinder versionsoffer reduced flow variation forapplications requiring minimumpulsation (see photo of pressure gaugeabove right ). Close-coupled reductiongearbox drives are available, with achoice of gear ratio to suit most primemover speeds.

Construction

The power end of the pump featuresrobust cast iron casings with splash orpressure lubrication and oil cooling,according to the application.

Stainless steel is the standard materialused for the fluid end with alternativematerials such as Duplex or AluminiumBronze available for increasedcorrosion resistance in more specialistapplications. The in-line valvearrangement widely used throughoutthe range prevents the adverse effectsof cyclic stress within the head block,while allowing all working componentsto be easily removed on site for serviceand maintenance. The latest plungerseal materials are employed with thefacility for seal flush or seal lubricationand solid ceramic plungers extend thelife of the self adjusting plunger seals.

Scope of Supply

We can deliver and commission from abare shaft pump to a complete skidmounted set, ready for operation in safeor hazardous areas (ATEX compliantwhere required), using electric motor or

diesel engine prime movers. Pump setscan be supplied in certified offshorecrash frames or containers, with orwithout acoustic dampening.

Ancillary equipment available includespulsation dampers, relief and loadingvalves, directional control valves,filtration and condition monitoring, allbacked by a comprehensive sparesstockholding, service engineers andworldwide network of sales / serviceagents.

Maximum flow is achieved by using the largestplungers and maximum pressure is achieved by using the smallest plungers.
