1822We have arrived in Austin’s colony in 1822. The Lively was

late and we didn’t get our supplies in time. Austin gave us $1,000 to invest in. We bought 20 head of cattle for $10 each which is overall $200. The winter was rough and most of the cattle died. The demand for lumber was high and it was a good year for lumber. Since it was a very harsh winter the cotton was dying because the harsh winter. I made total of $1,078.40 that year.
