  Learn how the Human Resource University website can help with your development in HR competencies.

+ HR University is a Federal Government “one stop” Human Resource Career Development Center.

HR University (HRU) is designed to:

  professionalize the Federal HR career field,

  address competency and skill gaps within the HR community,

  achieve Governmentwide savings,

  identify and offer the best HR training across Government,

  provide supervisors, managers and executives with critical leadership competencies and HR technical knowledge needed to succeed, and

  provide a means for sharing resources across all agencies.

+Goals

  Strengthen the competence of the Federal Government's human resources community to ensure measurable support of agency strategic goals and missions, now and in the future.

  Identify and provide a variety of learning modules focused on the HR competency model to achieve proficiency at each appropriate level and grade.

  Develop a common curriculum and criteria, incorporating existing Federal courses that emphasize solid technical knowledge and expertise while developing strategic business and consulting competence.

  Provide access to learning, developmental activities, IDPs and other resources, accessible through a central repository that offers multiple delivery methods and a blended learning approach.

GOALS

+Who manages HRU?

  HRU is the product of the collaboration between Federal agencies across government through the Chief Human Capital Officers (CHCO) Council.

  The CHCO Council founded HRU in 2011 and now serves in an advisory role.

  The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) manages the day to day activities of HRU.

  Future Goal- Offer SEPM trainings and resources made available by partners such as the NCHEPM and other organizations.
