Kit Constituents An HPV sample collection kit for HPV DNA PCR contains:

• A spatula

• A cyto-brush

• A tube containing sterile saline

Sample Collection Procedure

1. Spatula:

• Rotate the spatula 360 degrees by first ensuring its proper placement in the cervix

• Spatula will scrape the cervical tissue, and help in maneuvering the process of appropriate sample collection on the cytobrush

2. Cyto-brush:

• Rotate the cyto-brush in endometrial canal

• Also, the cervical tissue scraped using spatula is picked up on cyto-brush

3. A tube containing sterile saline:

• The cyto-brush after sample collection, is cut and dropped into the tube containing sterile saline in the kit

• The tube containing cyto-brush is then finally transported to RLS lab at 2-8 degree Celsius.
