The High Point Arts Market is an open-air market and cultural event held on the Second Saturday of each month (excluding January & February) & the fi rst 3 Saturdays in December from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Located at Mendenhall Terminal, 220 Commerce Ave. in downtown High Point. The Arts Market is a project of the High Point Artists Network, High Point Theatre, High Point Public Library, High Point Area Arts Council, and Theatre Art Galleries and the City of High Point
Interested artists’ applications, general guidelines and information may be obtained by contacting David Briggs, theDirector of the High Point Theatre by calling 336-883-3627 or via email (preferred) [email protected] . Artists will be asked to complete the application with a $20 fee and submit up to 5 photographs and 2 actual examples of each medium intended to be sold.

Blues is a common thread running throughout American Music.
Guitarist Andy Squint demonstrates the use of blues in Jazz using a
combination of live guitar, vocals, and vinyl. In this multimedia
presentation Andy will explore the many ways the blues form has become bedrock of Jazz.
The presentation will conclude with a vinyl listing party. Audience members are encouraged to bring examples of Blues in Jazz on vinyl

The Photography of Lewis Hine: Exposing Child Labor in North Carolina 1908 - 1918 will be open in the Museum’s Lecture Gallery until June 1. In 1908 National Child Labor Committee photographer Lewis Hine began visiting textile mills in North Carolina to document the exploitation of child workers. This exhibit, on loan from the North Carolina Museum of History, features a collection of over 30 images from the Library of Congress that highlight Hine’s work in photographing children employed in the mills.High Point Museum | 1859 E.
