PhotoshopThis was our first lesson in Photoshop before we began to edit an image we watched this clip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fViJJEKOkT8, this clip takes the mike by saying that everything we see isn't true beauty its Photoshop. This clip was also so that we could see the power of Photoshop and so we can spot the important tools, which we would need to use, these are Healing Brush, gets rid of spots/ moles anything small on your photo/body your not happy with, Hue Saturation, thischanges the colours of your photo, and Liquify, can change shapes of things/ people in your photograph. Once we had spotted and disused everything that these things do we where then told to experiment with Photoshop and learn how to use the Magnetic Lasso Tool, this lets you draw around a part of the image you want and transfer/copy, past the selected part on to anywhere you want, we where told to keep the Feather on 5 because then the part of the image we have drawn around wont look so sharp.

PhotoshopBecause I have Photoshop and do Photography I already knew how to do all of that stuff so I decided to practices, with one of my photos, things I wasn’t sure how to use.

I first changed the curves to give the photo some brightness so that it didn’t look so dull.

Next I used the Brightness and Contrast tool to light up the photograph, make it seem sharper and add a dreamy look to the photo.

PhotoshopThis was done by using Pixel Stretch, to be able to use this tool you must first select the single Single Row Maquee tool, click on a part of your photo then go to Edit copy, Edit, again, Past then press CTRL T and the line will reapper, click on the line and drag it across the photo, you can then change the Opacity and turn it down so that you are able to see the photograph behind it, I turned the Opacity to 56%.

The last thing I did was add in a bit of colour around some of the edges to create a frame. To do this I changed the colour to Pink once this was done I created a new Layer and selected the Rectangle Tool and dragged the shape a part of the photograph, because it just look like a block of Pink I changed the Opacity to 36%, I then did the same with the Blue line.
