We watched the fireworks in Penticton where we were camping.Fireworks flashed in front of me in different colours, booming so loud people were covering their ears. The grass that I was sitting on was cool and wet even though it was hot out and hadn't rained for days. I chewed on a chip, it was very salty. The smell of smoke was drifting in the air as each firework went off.

We also went camping in Vernon, where we went Parasailing.I gripped my sister’s hand as the boat sped up. I looked up and watched as the Parasail blew up, getting bigger and bigger. My sister and I screamed as we started lifting off the boat. My feet were just dangling in mid air. Even though we were so high up I could still smell the boat gas coming from the back of the boat. When we started getting lower water started splashing in my mouth.

While we were home we went and hiked up to a water fall then swam in the freezing water!I navigated my way through the rocks as I tried to not fall in the water. My friend shouted something at me but I couldn’t hear her over the crashing water in front of me. Everything around me smelt so fresh, the trees and the water. Just as I was looking around I misplaced my foot and I went tumbling into the ice cold water. Water rushed into my mouth.

We went to Tofino at the end of the summer. The sand as hot against my feet as I marched through it. The cold breeze was from the ocean was flying in my face. We could hear the waves lap against the shore one after the other. The ocean seemed to go on forever, when I looked out into the horizon. The whole beach smelled like rotting fish and salt water. I took a bite of my strawberry it tasted delicious.
