Here we’ll teach you the basics on how to set up and shorten URL’s
mainly.
WANT TO LEARN HOW TO START THIS?
FOLLOW THESE STEP BY STEP PROCESS:
Choose your browser.
For this tutorial we’ll use GOOGLE Chrome.
Then hit the ENTER key.
It will lead you then to this webpage.
To create an account, click on SIGN UP.
It will lead you here
You can sign up using 3 different options.
It can be through FACEBOOK,
twitter,
or even your email address.
For this, we’ll create an account using email information.
Just fill up the boxes as specified.
Key in your Username.
Type in your email address.
Then key in your password and re-enter it.
It will now look like this after encoding the information.
Then click next the “I’m not a robot” box.
Select the images needed forthe captcha then click on verify.
After verifying, it will showthis update on your screen.
Click on “CREATE ACCOUNT” To complete the sign up process.
You were already able to set-up an account and may now start using
Successful sign in will lead you to this homepage.
To start using the site, select the “START CREATING BITLINKS”.
It will lead you then to the main HOMEPAGE.
Now let’s explore the site!
When you log in to the account it will show this page.
This page includes the tab I wish to shorten the URL.
Notice the URL in this tab?
This is the URL I want to shorten.http://www.bhg.com/decorating/home-accessories/flower-arranging/classic-flower-arrangements/
Double click and copy the link.
Then back to bit.ly tab.
Click on “CREATE BITLINK” on where to paste the URL
It will show this box where to paste the URL exactly.
When you paste your link it will be like this.
Then in a matter of seconds it will update to this.

To the shortened one called Bitlinks:

You can also customize by editing the link details.
You can change the name of the link with short and concise words or letters.
Then click “SAVE”.
After saving it will then show an update on your newly set-up account.
