How To Install Wordpress Site On Bluehost Within 5 Minutes!
Introduction
This Wordpress guide teaches you how to install a Wordpress site on your own domain name hosted
on Bluehost within 5 minutes.
This guide assumes that you already have a Bluehost Hosting Account so that you can install
Wordpress very easily. If you do not have one, click on the Bluehost banner below to get one.
You get unlimited disk space to host unlimited domains on Bluehost. If you purchase the 1 year plan,
you also get a free domain of your choice from Bluehost.
If you bought your hosting account from Bluehost and they had registered your domain for you, they
will setup everything for you so that you can start installing Wordpress on your own domain without
doing additional steps.
However, if you have registered your own domain name on another domain registrar, you need to
do these steps:
1. Log into your Domain Name control panel with your domain registrar to change the DNS
settings for your domain name to point to Bluehost. Bluehost will give you the DNS settings
for your servers when you have signed up so that you can point them from your domain
registrar. (If you need help on this, refer to your domain registrar online help.)
2. Add your new domain name inside Bluehost cPanel so that your Bluehost account can host
the web pages and emails for your new domain. You can do this under the Add On Domain
link inside your Bluehost cPanel. If you are unsure about this, contact Bluehost support for
assistance. They can help you via online chat, email, online help documentation etc. It is
their duty to offer your technical support.
