How to download the Medial Lecture Screen Capture software app from the UTSA

Medial Library

1. Navigate to the UTSA’s Medial Library at: https://medialibrary.utsa.edu/

2. Click on the login icon

3. The following screen will appear. Login with your UTSA Network ID <abc123>

4. Your home screen will appear again with your account logged in. Click on the avatar on the top right corner to

see your account settings.

6. The “Record” icon on the top center of the page appears once you have logged in successfully. Click on it to use

this feature and to be prompted for downloading the MEDIALecture app for computers needing to install it.

7. The following screen will appear shortly from the Medial Library. For computers needing the MEDIALecture app,

click on the Download button after clicking cancel on the pop-up window for “Open MEDIALecture”. NOTE: Next

time you can simply click on the open MEDIALecture pop up window to launch the MEDIALecture app on a

computer that has it installed.

8. Locate the download complete area for the browser you are using and run the install file for the

MedialQuickset.exe file. The example below is for the Chrome Browser.

9. After installation is complete, as instructed click on the “Record” button once again.

10. Click on the “Open MEDIALecture” button to launch the app

11. The MEDIALecture app will open and appear shortly on the bottom right corner of the computer screen. It will

appear here every time it is launched for use.

12. Below is what the interface of the MEDIALecture recording app looks like. It will initially float on top of the

bottom right corner of your computer screen page until you select a recording feature option and begin your

recording.
