Explain This with Mark Zurolo

Our Brief was to design a 30-second animation, which ex-plains an activity and how to successfully complete it, basi-cally a “How To” - tutorial.

My activity choice was inspired by the fact that people nowa-days think they are great photographers because they own an SLR camera. This is not true. In fact, most people cheat; they take pictures on “Automatic” and edit them on Photoshop later; I wouldn’t call that Photography.

So, I’ve decided to create a little clip which explains the basics about manual lighting (the most important aspect of photogra-phy). To make it easier for them to understand the Terms, I’ve highlighted them in Red everytime they are needed and left out other symbols and buttons which might irritatate people who aren’t too familiar with their camera.
