The Oilfields Recycling Centre is CLOSED SATURDAYS
on civic and statutory holiday long weekends when
the Monday is observed as a holiday.

accept at the Oilfields Recycling Centre.
Items should be flattened, cleaned and sorted
into the following categories:
Newsprint & Glossy Paper
Newsprint and inserts
Flyers
TV guides
Magazines
Catalogues
White Bond Paper (blue & black inks only)
Office ledger paper
Computer paper
Photocopy paper
Lined school paper
Laser print paper
Corrugated Cardboard
Unwaxed corrugated cardboard boxes
(all boxes must be flattened)
Colour Bond
Envelopes, blue prints, and photocopy
paper, wrappers, fax paper
Coloured loose leaf and tablet paper
Coloured photocopy and bond papers
File folders (no plastic or metal)
Box board (cereal boxes etc.)
Wrapping paper (no ribbons)
Telephone message and Post-it notes
Telephone books, directories
Household Metal
Metal cans and lids (rinsed, labels off)
Clean aluminum foil products (crushed)
Clear Glass (clear only - no coloured)
Clean glass jars (lids and labels removed)
Window glass (putty removed)

Used cell phones and their rechargeable

Hard Plastics
All hard plastics #1 through #7
Refers to a rigid container, bottle or molding
(detergent bottles, yogurt containers, clear
plastic clamshells, etc.)
Soft Plastics
All soft plastics
Refers to a film or plastic bag (typical stretch
wrap, shopping bags, garbage bags, etc.)
Not Accepted:
Waxed cardboard boxes Milk or Juice containers Books with glued or wired bindings Wood Polystyrene (Styrofoam egg cartons, packing
chips, food containers etc.) Tires Propane / butane tanks Automotive parts and batteries Household Hazardous Waste containers
(HHW)
These items can be taken directly to the Foothills Regional Landfill Site.
Electronic Waste Collection
The Oilfields Recycling Centre accepts the
following equipment: CPUs (towers or desktop
systems), monitors (CRT or LED screens),
printers, laptops, all computer components and
assorted cabling, and televisions.
Clothing Donation
The Oilfields Recycling Centre has clothing collection bins available to the public sponsored by the Cerebral Palsy Association.
Composting
Black Diamond Transfer Station
Contact the Foothills Regional Services Commission for seasonal hours

Clean loads of grass, leaves, and branches can be deposited at the Transfer Station located north and west of the Black Diamond bridge (see map on back).
Foothills Regional Landfill
Open Monday-Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Closed Sundays & Holidays)

Located on Highway 783, south of Okotoks.
Salvage Centre
The Foothills Regional Landfill has a Salvage Centre on site for the disposal of used household goods, clothing and furniture items that may by recycled for use by someone else.
Just a reminder to residents that after-
hours dumping at the recycling depot is
not allowed, and carries a $250 fine.
