j •Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class
Brent E. Engstrom, son of Truman O. Engstrom of Garwood, recently par- ticipated in a community relations project during a visit to Hong Kong, while on a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific and Indian Oceans aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Princeton, home ported in San Diego. Sailors from Engstrom's ship refurbished a local school for handicapped children and a local prayer center.
The 1994 graduate of Rice High School joined the Navy in Oct. 1994.
•Incase you're looking for Marvin and Beverly Duddleston's welding shop, they've temporarily moved to FredCantu's place on FM1093. Plans are to construct a new building on FM 3013, across from the Boot Camp. Hopefully, it will be ready for them by this summer.
