We will be celebrang many things—the many successes during the year, the talents of students and teachers, the wonderful supporve community that is the rock of our school and hopefully the removal of all scaffolding and building materials! The program was published last week, but here it is again... 9.30am‐10.00am—Kindergarten in the K‐2 Quadrangle. 10.00am‐11.00am—3‐6 Musical (Years 3 and 4 parents) 11.00am‐11.15am—Recess—Parents are invited to have morning tea with students. 11.15am‐12.00pm—Year 1/Music and Movement–Chess Board followed by visit to library to view Year 1 Christmas Village. 12.00pm‐12.45pm—Year 2/Year 2 Italian–Chess Board. 12.45pm‐1.40pm—Lunch—Sausage sizzle available. Parents are invited to have lunch with students. Performances by Dance Groups and Choirs. 1.45pm‐2.45pm—3‐6 Musical (Years 5 and 6 parents). The musical this year is tled Santas Stuck in the Fiſties”. Years 3-6 students will perform in the musical and our younger students in K-2 will bring fesve cheer in the form of song and dance. We may even have a special visitor in a red & white suit. Choirs and the Dance Groups will perform during the lunch break. I remind parents and caregivers of the importance of correct audience behaviour with regard to cameras, iPhones and iPads. Please do not stand or hold equipment up so that the view of the person behind is blocked. Photographers should stand at the back or to the side of the audience. I ask all members of the audience to be considerate and sensive to the needs of others. Also, a reminder that when the children are not performing, they will be in usual classes with their teachers. We do not want children wandering about the school for safety reasons. The K-2 children will have the opportunity to view the musical with their teachers at a dress rehearsal. We hope you can join your child at recess and/or lunch though, and parents are most welcome at these mes. The Year 1 Christmas Village will be on display in the Library for all parents to enjoy throughout the day. We hope the day is another wonderful community event at Hornsby North. We are on the countdown to our special day of festivities for 2019. The program for the day, Wednesday 4 December, promises to be one of joy and celebrations. With a total profit of just under $300, we will look to find a suitable Bushfire appeal to donate to on behalf of the school community! Watch this space for future Disco dates! UNIFORM SHOP - Do you have a child starting Kindergarten in 2020. Please be aware that you can now purchase your items from Term 4 onwards. The Uniform Shop is open on Mondays and Thursdays 8.45am to 9.45am. There is a full rack of sample sizes as well as good quality second hand items available to purchase. Come early to avoid the queues and new year price rises. The Uniform Shop will close after trade on Monday, 16 December and reopen late January 2020. You will need to get your Booking Form into the Band Box by Tuesday 4 December. Only put the Booking Form and NOT the actual Checklist. Please do not ring the night before the audition and try and book in for the next day. I would like to thank Angelique for organizing the auditions for this year and trying to keep things running on time, sometimes there are delays that are beyond our control. I do remind everyone that Angelique is a volunteer and doesn’t deserve to be treated and abused the way she has been by some parents. If you feel there is an issue, then contact myself via [email protected] and I will try and get back to you in a timely manner. Upcoming dates: Senior Band Presentation Day—Wednesday 11 December. SCHOOL BANKING - Today was the last day of school banking for 2019, thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped out this year. Rewards will be sent home with students as they arrive at school, we are two weeks delayed. School banking will re-commence early in Term 1, 2020. Community News - COLOURING IN COMPETITION FOR CAROLS AT ASQUITH OVAL - The Carols at Asquith Oval will be held on Sunday 8 December. If your child would like to participate in the Colouring Competition, the sheets are available in the Office foyer and should be taken to the Carols. A BBQ will be available from 6.00pm, with the Carols at 7.30pm.

PSSA CRICKET - Our Junior and Senior cricket teams have both made the PSSA semi finals, which will be played this Friday at Montview Oval. The Junior team finished equal 3rd on points, but 4th overall when for and against was taken into account, and will play against the undefeated Warrawee PS. The Senior team finished in 2nd position and will play against the 3rd placed Berowra PS. We will meet outside the library at 8:45am on Friday and the drivers are: Hunter, Ackland, Westwood, Apostoloff, Buttenshaw + any other Junior parents who are able to help please.
