• The school is being “fast tracked” as part of the government’s “economic stimulus”

• Collaborative Environments– Virtual environments where students and teachers

can communicate, share information and work together.

– Can be simple tools like a wiki to a full 3D environment like Second Life.

• Examples:– Voicethread, Google Docs, Sharepoint, social

networking sites, and see the Horizon Report

• Online Communication Tools– Allow users to connect from anywhere, anytime– Synchronous or asynchronous

• Examples– Skype (desktop videoconferencing), microblogging

(Twitter), instant messaging, Edmodo
