TARGET SKILL: Long A sound spelled ‘ai’

HIGHLIGHTED WORDS: High Frequency Words

remain fail chain friend power Spend some time practicing the words you spelled incorrectly on Monday’s pre-test. On Friday, we will have a dictation test that includes all of the words. Below are some fun ways for you to practice your spelling words for the week.

Type the words on the computer. Use different fonts, font size, colors,

etc.

GET

PHYSICAL!

Jump rope while you spell the words out loud.

Write out the words.

Underline all of the vowels in a different color.

Write each word in special letters

(bubbly, squiggly, block,

etc)

WORD SEARCH:

Write each word in pencil. Trace over each word with two different color crayons.

Write your words using one color for vowels and another color for

consonants.

Scramble your words and write the
