70 Prophetic weeks1 week = 7 years

70 x 7 yrs = 490 Years allotted to “Thy People and Thy Holy City”

70 Weeks (490 Years) divided into three periods

Period 1...“from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks”...

7 Weeks (49 Years)

Starts in 445 B.C. When Nehemiah went forth to rebuild the walls.

Period 2...“unto the Messiah the Prince,...and threescore and two weeks”

62 Weeks (434 Years)

49 Years + 434 Years = 483 Years altogether so far.Or 69 Weeks

Brings you right into 30 A.D. when the Prince rode into Jerusalem

Period 3Dan 9:26 “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself”27 “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease”

1 Week (7 Years)Cut off in the middle of the week. 3 ½ years left for the Jews.Brings us to 33 A.D. When The Messiah was crucified.

538 B.C. (68 yrs from 606 B.C.) Daniel comes to understand the 70 years of captivity. Receives 70 weeks Prophecy.

536 B.C. (70 yrs from 606 B.C.) Babylonian captivity ends.445 B.C. Nehemiah goes forth to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem30 A.D. (70 “weeks” from 445 B.C.) The Messiah the Prince rides into Jerusalem.33 ½ A.D. The Messiah is cut off. Crucified.
