Warm up: Practise counting forwards to 30 and backwards to 0 using your number chart. Practise writing these numbers on your mini whiteboard. What Makes a Good Friend?
Think about what makes a good friend!
Using the template in your pack, draw a picture of yourself being a good friend.
Bean in a Bag Its Springtime so let’s
grow some beans! Follow the instructions in your pack to grow your own Bean in a Bag.
ABC TV ABC TV has many educational videos that you can watch while at home. Follow the program on the next page to find out when you can watch certain shows.
Mindfulness Play the silence game: try to stay as silent as possible with your body and voice. Set a timer for one minute and try not to make any noise until the timer stops. Draw or write about what you heard or noticed. Take some time to do one of the meditations from the Smiling Minds app. Remember you can listen to them in other languages and your family can do it with you.

Gingerbread Outline
Think about how you look, sound and feel when you are happy and when you are sad.
On the Gingerbread outline, draw what you would look like, sound like or feel like when you are happy and when you are sad.
Collect a rainbow Using the sheet in your pack, go on a ‘colour matching nature hunt’. Match the things you find in nature to the colour circles, stick them on the sheet using glue or sticky tape. Share a picture on your Dojo portfolio.
Handwriting and Letter Knowledge Practise writing your letters correctly on the sheets in your pack. You can practise writing your letters on paper or on a whiteboard first, if you have one at home. Remember to sit correctly and hold your pencil with the correct grip. You can use your playdough to make the letters as well.
Being safe at home Draw and write about ways you can stay safe at home. Think about safe places to keep medicine and poison, how to be safe in the kitchen and around water.
Nominate a Great Friend – Form Think about all the children in your class. Nominate a student who you think is a great person… someone who is kind, caring and respectful! Post a picture on your portfolio.
Draw a Garden of Flowers Follow the directions, step by step, to draw a beautiful flower garden. Share a picture on your portfolio
Springtime activity sheet Try to find all the words that are hidden in the find a word included in your pack!
Fruit Kebab Draw your own delicious fruit kebab on the sheet provided in your booklet. Try using a variety of fruits and remember to label your drawing
Certific-MATE Give one of your friends a certificate for being a
good friend to you.
Complete the certificate in your pack and send a picture of it to your teacher.
Spring Scavenger Hunt Use a pencil to mark off the items you see, hear, feel, or smell from the Springtime Scavenger hunt sheet in your packs.
Make a bee Colour in the pieces of the bee. Once it is all coloured in, carefully cut it out and using glue, stick it together to look like the little be in the picture.
. Get your heart pumping Before you begin try to find your heartbeat and count how many times it beats in 30 seconds and write it down. Enjoy the fun workout and once you have finished check your heartbeat again, counting how many times it beats in 30 seconds. Was your heart beating faster after you finished exercising?

On the worksheet in your pack, read the sentences in each box and circle all the things you could do to help out a friend.

Spring Sentences Using the list of Spring Words found in your pack, make up some sentences. Try to use joining words to make your sentences even more interesting (and, but, because, for, so etc) Underline the word you used, you may like to draw a picture to go with it. Take a photo of your work and send it to your preferences.

Your task today:

2. Look at the pictures and choose one animal you want to learn about and write about.
3. Draw a detailed picture of your animal.
4. Add labels to your picture. Include adjectives and technical words.
5. Describe your animal to someone at home!

We have been learning about animals and how to write facts about animals. We
can write facts about what the animal looks like and what it does!
When we find out about an animal and write factual sentences about what we
know, we are writing an information report.
Your task today:
1. Watch the video on class dojo.
2. Look at your labelled drawing. Think of a sentence to say what your animal looks like.
3. Say your sentence out loud.
4. Write your factual sentence down. Read it out loud. Fix any mistakes!
5. Use your word cards to help you.

Talks are an interesting way to share information. Your audience can
find out what you know about a farm animal by listening to what you
say!
When we video the talk, we can watch it lots of times and share it
with other people. This means we need to make sure it’s our best work!
Your task today:
• Watch the video on class dojo (in Monday’s morning post)
• Practise reading your farmer report until it sounds smooth!
• Dress up so you look like a farmer in the video!
• Use the success criteria (posted on Dojo) to keep you on track.
• Ask someone in your family to video you reading
your information report.
• Show your detailed animal drawing as part of your
talk (make sure it’s your best work and ready for
publishing!)
