HOME DEPOT PLAZA, Brick, NJ One of three projects currently being developed in Brick, NJ by Edgewood Properties is the new Home Depot Plaza located at the intersection of Route 70 and Route 88. This freestanding future site of Home Depot, the world’s second largest retailer is their second location in the market and involves the future relocation of Costco, the site’s current occupant to another Brick project being developed by Edgewood Properties, Market Place at Brick. Brick Township is widely recognized as the premier retail destination of Ocean County and southern Monmouth County. Some of the nation’s elite retailers, including Lowe’s, Target, Wal Mart, Kohl’s, Shop Rite, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Circuit City, Old Navy, Marshall’s, Barnes & Noble, Petsmart, Sports Authority, Comp USA, Ethan Allen, Modells, etc. boast some of the highest sales volumes in the state and are located in shopping centers along Route 70, making this highway the dominant corridor in the region. Since the year 2000, Brick Township has been deemed the safest "city" (population over 75,000) in New Jersey and in 2003 and 2004, Brick Township held the title of being the second safest city in the United States. Brick Township has a total area of 32.3 miles is bordered to the north by Wall Township, Sea Girt and Spring Lake and to the east by Mantoloking and Bay Head, all of which are recognized as some of the wealthiest regions in the state.
