πρὸς σὲ προσδοκῶσι, δοῦναι τὴν τροφὴναὐτῶν εἰς εὔκαιρον, δόντος σου αὐτοῖςσυλλέξουσιν. Ἀνοίξαντός σου τὴν χείρα,τὰ σύµπαντα πλησθήσονται χρηστότητος,ἀποστρέψαντος δέ σου τὸ πρόσωπον,ταραχθήσονται. The sun knows its setting. Youestablished darkness, and it was night.

For the peace from above and for thesalvation of our souls, let us pray to the Lord.


Ὑπὲρ τῆς εἰρήνης τοῦ σύµπαντοςκόσµου, εὐσταθείας τῶν ἁγίων τοῦ ΘεοῦἘκκλησιῶν καὶ τῆς τῶν πάντων ἑνώσεως,τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶµεν.

For the peace of the whole world, for thestability of the holy churches of God, and forthe unity of all, let us pray to the Lord.


Ὑπὲρ τοῦ ἁγίου οἴκου τούτου, καὶ τῶνµετὰ πίστεως, εὐλαβείας καὶ φόβου Θεοῦεἰσιόντων ἐν αὐτῷ, τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶµεν.

For this holy house and for those whoenter it with faith, reverence, and the fear ofGod, let us pray to the Lord.

For pious and Orthodox Christians, let uspray to the Lord.

For (episcopal rank) (name), for thehonorable presbyterate, for the diaconate inChrist, and for all the clergy and the people,let us pray to the Lord.


Ὑπὲρ τοῦ εὐσεβοῦς ἡµῶν ἔθνους, πάσηςἀρχῆς καὶ ἐξουσίας ἐν αὐτῷ, τοῦ Κυρίουδεηθῶµεν.

For our country, for the president, and forall in public service, let us pray to the Lord.


Ὑπὲρ τῆς πόλεως ταύτης, πάσηςπόλεως, χώρας καὶ τῶν πίστει οἰκούντων ἐναὐταῖς, τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶµεν.

For this city, and for every city and land,and for the faithful who live in them, let uspray to the Lord.


Ὑπὲρ εὐκρασίας ἀέρων, εὐφορίας τῶνκαρπῶν τῆς γῆς, καὶ καιρῶν εἰρηνικῶν, τοῦΚυρίου δεηθῶµεν.

For favorable weather, for an abundanceof the fruits of the earth, and for peacefultimes, let us pray to the Lord.


Ὑπὲρ πλεόντων, ὁδοιπορούντων,νοσούντων, καµνόντων, αἰχµαλώτων καὶτῆς σωτηρίας αὐτῶν, τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶµεν.

For those who travel by land, sea, and air,for the sick, the suffering, the captives and fortheir salvation, let us pray to the Lord.

Ὑπὲρ τοῦ ῥυσθῆναι ἡµᾶς ἀπὸ πάσηςθλίψεως, ὀργῆς, κινδύνου καὶ ἀνάγκης,καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀπειλοῦντος ἡµᾶς λοιµοῦ τοῦκορονοϊοῦ, τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶµεν.

For our deliverance from all affliction,wrath, danger and distress, and from the perilof the coronavirus against us, let us pray tothe Lord.


Ὑπὲρ τῶν ἀδελφῶν ἡµῶν τῶν κατὰ τῆςνόσου τοῦ κορονοϊοῦ ἀγωνιζοµένων, ατρῶν,νοσηλευτῶν καὶ ἐπιστηµόνων, τοῦ Κυρίουδεηθῶµεν.

For our brethren, those who lead thefight against the coronavirus, the doctors, themedical workers and the scientists, let us prayto the Lord.


Ἀντιλαβοῦ, σῶσον, ἐλέησον καὶδιαφύλαξον ἡµᾶς ὁ Θεὸς τῇ σῇ χάριτι.

Help us, save us, have mercy on us, andprotect us, O God, by Your grace.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth, a door ofenclosure about my lips.

Μὴ ἐκκλίνῃς τὴν καρδίαν µου εἰς λόγουςπονηρίας, τοῦ προφασίζεσθαι προφάσεις ἐνἁµαρτίαις.

Incline not my heart to evil words, to makeexcuses in sins.

Σὺν ἀνθρώποις ἐργαζοµένοις τὴν ἀνοµίαν, καὶοὐ µὴ συνδυάσω µετὰ τῶν ἐκλεκτῶν αὐτῶν.

With men who work lawlessness; and I will notjoin with their choice ones.

Παιδεύσει µε δίκαιος ἐν ἐλέει, καὶ ἐλέγξει µε,ἔλαιον δὲ ἁµαρτωλοῦ µὴ λιπανάτω τὴν κεφαλήνµου.

The righteous man shall correct me with mercy,and he shall reprove me; but let not the oil of the sinneranoint my head.

Ὅτι ἔτι καὶ ἡ προσευχή µου ἐν ταῖς εὐδοκίαιςαὐτῶν· κατεπόθησαν ἐχόµενα πέτρας οἱ κριταὶαὐτῶν.

For my prayer shall be intense in the presence oftheir pleasures. Their judges are swallowed up by therock.

Ἀκούσονται τὰ ῥήµατά µου, ὅτι ἡδύνθησαν·ὡσεὶ πάχος γῆς ἐῤῥάγη ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, διεσκορπίσθη τὰὀστᾶ αὐτῶν παρὰ τὸν ᾅδην.

They shall hear my words, for they are pleasant.As a clod of ground is dashed to pieces on the earth, sotheir bones were scattered beside the grave.

Ὅτι πρὸς σέ, Κύριε, Κύριε, οἱ ὀφθαλµοὶ µου· ἐπὶσοὶ ἤλπισα, µὴ ἀντανέλῃς τὴν ψυχήν µου.

For my eyes, O Lord, O Lord, are toward You; inYou I hope; take not my soul away.

Φύλαξόν µε ἀπὸ παγίδος ἧς συνεστήσαντό µοι,καὶ ἀπὸ σκανδάλων τῶν ἐργαζοµένων τὴν ἀνοµίαν.

Keep me from the snares they set for me, and fromthe stumbling blocks of those who work lawlessness.

Πεσοῦνται ἐν ἀµφιβλήστρῳ αὐτῶν οἱἁµαρτωλοί· κατὰ µόνας εἰµὶ ἐγὼ ἕως ἂν παρέλθω.

Sinners shall fall into their own net; I am alone,until I escape.

Φωνῇ µου πρὸς Κύριον ἐκέκραξα, φωνῇ µουπρὸς Κύριον ἐδεήθην.

I cried to the Lord with my voice, with my voice Iprayed to the Lord.

Ἐκχεῶ ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τὴν δέησίν µου, τὴνθλῖψίν µου ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ἀπαγγελῶ.

I shall pour out my supplication before Him; Ishall declare my affliction in His presence.

At that time, Jesus said to His disciples:"You know that after two days the Passover iscoming, and the Son of man will be deliveredup to be crucified." συνεβουλεύσαντο ἵνα τὸν Ἰησοῦν δόλῳκρατήσωσι καὶ ἀποκτείνωσιν. ἔλεγον δέ·Μὴ ἐν τῇ ἑορτῇ, ἵνα µὴ θόρυβος γένηταιἐν τῷ λαῷ. Τοῦ δὲ Ἰησοῦ γενοµένου ἐνΒηθανίᾳ ἐν οἰκίᾳ Σίµωνος τοῦ λεπροῦ,προσῆλθεν αὐτῷ γυνὴ ἀλάβαστρον µύρουἔχουσα βαρυτίµου, καὶ κατέχεεν ἐπὶ τὴνκεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ἀνακειµένου. ἰδόντες δὲ οἱµαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἠγανάκτησαν λέγοντες· Εἰςτί ἡ ἀπώλεια αὕτη; ἠδύνατο γὰρ τοῦτο τὸµύρον πραθῆναι πολλοῦ καὶ δοθῆναι τοῖςπτωχοῖς. γνοὺς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς·Τί κόπους παρέχετε τῇ γυναικί; ἔργον γὰρκαλὸν εἰργάσατο εἰς ἐµέ. τοὺς πτωχοὺςγὰρ πάντοτε ἔχετε µεθ' ἑαυτῶν, ἐµὲ δὲοὐ πάντοτε ἔχετε. βαλοῦσα γὰρ αὕτη τὸµύρον τοῦτο ἐπὶ τοῦ σώµατός µου, πρὸςτὸ ἐνταφιάσαι µε ἐποίησεν. ἀµὴν λέγωὑµῖν, ὅπου ἐὰν κηρυχθῇ τὸ εὐαγγέλιοντοῦτο ἐν ὅλῳ τῷ κόσµῳ, λαληθήσεταικαὶ ὃ ἐποίησεν αὕτη εἰς µνηµόσυνοναὐτῆς. Τότε πορευθεὶς εἷς τῶν δώδεκα, ὁλεγόµενος Ἰούδας Ἰσκαριώτης, πρὸς τοὺςἀρχιερεῖς εἶπε· Τί θέλετέ µοι δοῦναι, καὶἐγὼ ὑµῖν παραδώσω αὐτόν; οἱ δὲ ἔστησαναὐτῷ τριάκοντα ἀργύρια. καὶ ἀπὸ τότεἐζήτει εὐκαιρίαν ἵνα αὐτὸν παραδῷ. Τῇδὲ πρώτῃ τῶν ἀζύµων προσῆλθον οἱµαθηταὶ τῷ Ἰησοῦ λέγοντες αὐτῷ· Ποῦθέλεις ἑτοιµάσωµέν σοι φαγεῖν τὸ πάσχα;ὁ δὲ εἶπεν· Ὑπάγετε εἰς τὴν πόλιν πρὸςτὸν δεῖνα καὶ εἴπατε αὐτῷ· ὁ διδάσκαλοςλέγει, ὁ καιρός µου ἐγγύς ἐστι· πρὸς σεποιῶ τὸ πάσχα µετὰ τῶν µαθητῶν µου. καὶἐποίησαν οἱ µαθηταὶ ὡς συνέταξεν αὐτοῖςὁ Ἰησοῦς, καὶ ἡτοίµασαν τὸ πάσχα. Ὀψίαςδὲ γενοµένης ἀνέκειτο µετὰ τῶν δώδεκα.εἰδὼς ὁ δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι πάντα δέδωκεν

Now whenJesus was at Bethany in the house of Simonthe leper, a woman came up to him with analabaster flask of very expensive ointment,and she poured it on his head, as he sat attable. But when the disciples saw it, they wereindignant, saying, "Why this waste? For thisointment might have been sold for a largesum, and given to the poor." But Jesus, awareof this, said to them, "Why do you troublethe woman? For she has done a beautifulthing to me. For you always have the poorwith you, but you will not always have me.In pouring this ointment on my body shehas done it to prepare me for burial. Truly, Isay to you, wherever this gospel is preachedin the whole world, what she has done willbe told in memory of her." Then one of thetwelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, wentto the chief priests and said, "What will yougive me if I deliver him to you?" And theypaid him thirty pieces of silver. And from thatmoment he sought an opportunity to betrayhim. Now on the first day of UnleavenedBread the disciples came to Jesus, saying,"Where will you have us prepare for you toeat the passover?" He said, "Go into the cityto a certain one, and say to him, 'The Teachersays, My time is at hand; I will keep thepassover at your house with my disciples.'"And the disciples did as Jesus had directedthem, and they prepared the passover. Whenit was evening, he sat at table with the twelvedisciples; Jesus, knowing that the Father hadgiven all things into his hands, and that hehad come from God and was going to God,

rose from supper, laid aside his garments,and girded himself with a towel. Then hepoured water into a basin, and began to washthe disciples' feet, and to wipe them with thetowel with which he was girded. He cameto Simon Peter; and Peter said to him, "Lord,do you wash my feet?" Jesus answered him,"What I am doing you do not know now, butafterward you will understand." Peter saidto him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesusanswered him, "If I do not wash you, youhave no part in me." Simon Peter said to him,"Lord, not my feet only but also my handsand my head!" Jesus said to him, "He who hasbathed does not need to wash, except for hisfeet, but he is clean all over; and you are clean,but not every one of you." For he knew whowas to betray him; that was why he said, "Youare not all clean." When he had washed theirfeet, and taken his garments, and resumed hisplace, he said to them, "Do you know what Ihave done to you? You call me Teacher andLord; and you are right, for so I am. If I then,your Lord and Teacher, have washed yourfeet, you also ought to wash one another'sfeet. For I have given you an example, thatyou also should do as I have done to you.Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is notgreater than his master; nor is he who is sentgreater than he who sent him. If you knowthese things, blessed are you if you do them."And as they were eating, he said, "Truly, I sayto you, one of you will betray me." And theywere very sorrowful, and began to say to himone after another, "Is it I, Lord?" He answered,"He who has dipped his hand in the dish withme, will betray me. Καὶ ὑµνήσαντες ἐξῆλθον εἰς τὸ ὄροςτῶν ἐλαιῶν. Τότε λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς·Πάντες ὑµεῖς σκανδαλισθήσεσθε ἐν ἐµοὶἐν τῇ νυκτὶ ταύτῃ· γέγραπται γάρ, πατάξωτὸν ποιµένα, καὶ διασκορπισθήσονται τὰπρόβατα τῆς ποίµνης· µετὰ δὲ τὸ ἐγερθῆναίµε προάξω ὑµᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν.ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Πέτρος εἶπεν αὐτῷ· Εἰπάντες σκανδαλισθήσονται ἐν σοί, ἐγὼδὲ οὐδέποτε σκανδαλισθήσοµαι. ἔφηαὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· Ἀµὴν λέγω σοι ὅτι ἐνταύτῃ τῇ νυκτὶ πρὶν ἀλέκτορα φωνῆσαιτρὶς ἀπαρνήσῃ µε. λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Πέτρος·Κἂν δέῃ µε σὺν σοὶ ἀποθανεῖν, οὐ µή σεἀπαρνήσοµαι. ὁµοίως δὲ καὶ πάντες οἱ

Then Jesus said to them, "You willall fall away because of me this night; for itis written, 'I will strike the shepherd, andthe sheep of the flock will be scattered.' Butafter I am raised up, I will go before you toGalilee." Peter declared to him, "Though theyall fall away because of you, I will never fallaway." Jesus said to him, "Truly, I say to you,this very night, before the cock crows, youwill deny me three times." Peter said to him,"Even if I must die with you, I will not denyyou." And so said all the disciples. Then Jesuswent with them to a place called Gethsemane,and he said to his disciples, "Sit here, whileI go yonder and pray." And taking with himPeter and the two sons of Zebedee, he beganto be sorrowful and troubled. Then he saidto them, "My soul is very sorrowful, evento death; remain here, and watch with me."And going a little farther he fell on his faceand prayed, "My Father, if it be possible, letthis cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I

Τότε ἔρχεται µετ' αὐτῶν ὁἸησοῦς εἰς χωρίον λεγόµενον Γεθσηµανῆ,καὶ λέγει τοῖς µαθηταῖς· Καθίσατε αὐτοῦἕως οὗ ἀπελθὼν προσεύξωµαι ἐκεῖ. καὶπαραλαβὼν τὸν Πέτρον καὶ τοὺς δύουἱοὺς Ζεβεδαίου ἤρξατο λυπεῖσθαι καὶἀδηµονεῖν. τότε λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς·Περίλυπός ἐστιν ἡ ψυχή µου ἕως θανάτου·µείνατε ὧδε καὶ γρηγορεῖτε µετ' ἐµοῦ. καὶπροελθὼν µικρὸν ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωποναὐτοῦ προσευχόµενος καὶ λέγων· Πάτερµου, εἰ δυνατόν ἐστι, παρελθέτω ἀπ' ἐµοῦτὸ ποτήριον τοῦτο· πλὴν οὐχ ὡς ἐγὼ θέλω,ἀλλ' ὡς σύ. ὤφθη δὲ αὐτῷ ἄγγελος ἀπ'οὐρανοῦ ἐνισχύων αὐτόν. καὶ γενόµενοςἐν ἀγωνίᾳ ἐκτενέστερον προσηύχετο.ἐγένετο δὲ ὁ ἱδρὼς αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ θρόµβοιαἵµατος καταβαίνοντες ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν. καὶἀναστὰς ἀπὸ τῆς προσευχῆς ἔρχεταιπρὸς τοὺς µαθητὰς καὶ εὑρίσκει αὐτοὺςκαθεύδοντας, καὶ λέγει τῷ Πέτρῳ· Οὕτωςοὐκ ἰσχύσατε µίαν ὥραν γρηγορῆσαιµετ' ἐµοῦ! γρηγορεῖτε καὶ προσεύχεσθε,ἵνα µὴ εἰσέλθητε εἰς πειρασµόν· τὸ µὲνπνεῦµα πρόθυµον, ἡ δὲ σὰρξ ἀσθενής.πάλιν ἐκ δευτέρου ἀπελθὼν προσηύξατολέγων· Πάτερ µου, εἰ οὐ δύναται τοῦτο τὸποτήριον παρελθεῖν ἀπ' ἐµοῦ ἐὰν µὴ αὐτὸπίω, γενηθήτω τὸ θέληµά σου. καὶ ἐλθὼνεὑρίσκει αὐτοὺς πάλιν καθεύδοντας· ἦσανγὰρ αὐτῶν οἱ ὀφθαλµοὶ βεβαρηµένοι. καὶἀφεὶς αὐτοὺς ἀπελθὼν πάλιν προσηύξατοἐκ τρίτου τὸν αὐτὸν λόγον εἰπών. τότεἔρχεται πρὸς τοὺς µαθητὰς αὐτοῦ καὶλέγει αὐτοῖς· Καθεύδετε τὸ λοιπὸν καὶἀναπαύεσθε! ἰδοὺ ἤγγικεν ἡ ὥρα καὶ ὁυἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου παραδίδοται εἰς χεῖραςἁµαρτωλῶν. ἐγείρεσθε, ἄγωµεν· ἰδοὺ

Then he came to the disciples and saidto them, "Are you still sleeping and takingyour rest? Behold, the hour is at hand, andthe Son of man is betrayed into the hands ofsinners. Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayeris at hand." While he was still speaking, Judascame, one of the twelve, and with him a greatcrowd with swords and clubs, from the chiefpriests and the elders of the people. Now thebetrayer had given them a sign, saying, "Theone I shall kiss is the man; seize him." Andhe came up to Jesus at once and said, "Hail,Master!" And he kissed him. Jesus said to him,"Friend, why are you here?" Then they cameup and laid hands on Jesus and seized him.And behold, one of those who were with Jesusstretched out his hand and drew his sword,and struck the slave of the high priest, andcut off his ear. Then Jesus said to him, "Putyour sword back into its place; for all whotake the sword will perish by the sword. Do
