For the peace from above and thesalvation of our souls let us pray to the Lord


Ὑπὲρ τῆς εἰρήνης τοῦ σύmicroπαντοςκόσmicroου εὐσταθείας τῶν ἁγίων τοῦ ΘεοῦἘκκλησιῶν καὶ τῆς τῶν πάντων ἑνώσεωςτοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶmicroεν

For peace in the whole world for thestability of the holy churches of God and forthe unity of all let us pray to the Lord


Ὑπὲρ τοῦ ἁγίου οἴκου τούτου καὶ τῶνmicroετὰ πίστεως εὐλαβείας καὶ φόβου Θεοῦεἰσιόντων ἐν αὐτῷ τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶmicroεν

For this holy house and for those whoenter it with faith reverence and the fear ofGod let us pray to the Lord

For our country the president and allthose in public service let us pray to the Lord

For the Holy and Great Church of Christfor this Holy Metropolis this parish and cityfor every city and town and for the faithfulwho live in them let us pray to the Lord


Ὑπὲρ εὐκρασίας ἀέρων εὐφορίας τῶνκαρπῶν τῆς γῆς καὶ καιρῶν εἰρηνικῶν τοῦΚυρίου δεηθῶmicroεν

For favorable weather an abundance ofthe fruits of the earth and temperate seasonslet us pray to the Lord


Ὑπὲρ πλεόντων ὁδοιπορούντωννοσούντων καmicroνόντων αἰχmicroαλώτων καὶτῆς σωτηρίας αὐτῶν τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶmicroεν

For travelers by land sea and air for thesick the suffering for captives and for theirsalvation let us pray to the Lord

Ὑπὲρ τοῦ ῥυσθῆναι ἡmicroᾶς ἀπὸ πάσηςθλίψεως ὀργῆς κινδύνου καὶ ἀνάγκης τοῦΚυρίου δεηθῶmicroεν

For our deliverance from all afflictionwrath danger and distress let us pray to theLord


Ἀντιλαβοῦ σῶσον ἐλέησον καὶδιαφύλαξον ἡmicroᾶς ὁ Θεὸς τῇ σῇ χάριτι

Help us save us have mercy upon us andprotect us O God by your grace

Set a watch O Lord before my mouth a door ofenclosure about my lips

Incline not my heart to evil words to makeexcuses in sins

Σὺν ἀνθρώποις ἐργαζοmicroένοις τὴν ἀνοmicroίαν καὶοὐ microὴ συνδυάσω microετὰ τῶν ἐκλεκτῶν αὐτῶν

With men who work lawlessness and I will notjoin with their choice ones

Παιδεύσει microε δίκαιος ἐν ἐλέει καὶ ἐλέγξει microεἔλαιον δὲ ἁmicroαρτωλοῦ microὴ λιπανάτω τὴν κεφαλήνmicroου

The righteous man shall correct me With mercyand he shall reprove me But let not the oil of the sinneranoint my head

Ὅτι ἔτι καὶ ἡ προσευχή microου ἐν ταῖς εὐδοκίαιςαὐτῶν κατεπόθησαν ἐχόmicroενα πέτρας οἱ κριταὶαὐτῶν

For my prayer shall be intense in the presence oftheir pleasures Their judges are swallowed up by therock

Ἀκούσονται τὰ ῥήmicroατά microου ὅτι ἡδύνθησανὡσεὶ πάχος γῆς ἐῤῥάγη ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς διεσκορπίσθη τὰὀστᾶ αὐτῶν παρὰ τὸν ᾅδην

They shall hear my words for they are pleasantAs a clod of ground is dashed to pieces on the earth so[their] bones were scattered beside the grave

Ὅτι πρὸς σέ Κύριε Κύριε οἱ ὀφθαλmicroοὶ microου ἐπὶσοὶ ἤλπισα microὴ ἀντανέλῃς τὴν ψυχήν microου

For my eyes O Lord O Lord are toward You inYou I hope take not my soul away

Φύλαξόν microε ἀπὸ παγίδος ἧς συνεστήσαντό microοικαὶ ἀπὸ σκανδάλων τῶν ἐργαζοmicroένων τὴν ἀνοmicroίαν

Keep me from the snares they set for me and fromthe stumbling blocks of those who work lawlessness

Πεσοῦνται ἐν ἀmicroφιβλήστρῳ αὐτῶν οἱἁmicroαρτωλοί κατὰ microόνας εἰmicroὶ ἐγὼ ἕως ἂν παρέλθω

Sinners shall fall into their own net I am aloneuntil I escape

Φωνῇ microου πρὸς Κύριον ἐκέκραξα φωνῇ microουπρὸς Κύριον ἐδεήθην

I cried to the Lord with my voice with my voice Iprayed to the Lord

Ἐκχεῶ ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τὴν δέησίν microου τὴνθλῖψίν microου ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ ἀπαγγελῶ

I shall pour out my supplication before Him Ishall declare my affliction in His presence

Ἐν τῷ ἐκλείπειν ἐξ ἐmicroοῦ τὸ πνεῦmicroά microου καὶ σὺἔγνως τὰς τρίβους microου

When my spirit fainted within me then You knewmy paths

Ἐν ὁδῷ ταύτῃ ᾗ ἐπορευόmicroην ἔκρυψαν παγίδαmicroοι

For on the way I was going they hid a trap for me

Κατενόουν εἰς τὰ δεξιά καὶ ἐπέβλεπον καὶ οὐκἦν ὁ ἐπιγινώσκων microε

I looked on my right and saw there was no onewho knew me

Ἀπώλετο φυγὴ ἀπ ἐmicroοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁἐκζητῶν τὴν ψυχήν microου

Refuge failed me and there was no one who caredfor my soul

Ἐκέκραξα πρὸς σέ Κύριε εἶπα Σὺ εἶ ἡ ἐλπίςmicroου microερίς microου εἶ ἐν γῇ ζώντων

I cried to You O Lord I said You are my hopemy portion in the land of the living

Πρόσχες πρὸς τὴν δέησίν microου ὅτι ἐταπεινώθηνσφόδρα

Attend to my supplication for I was humbledexceedingly

Ῥῦσαί microε ἐκ τῶν καταδιωκόντων microε ὅτιἐκραταιώθησαν ὑπὲρ ἐmicroέ

Deliver me from my persecutors for they arestronger than I

Ἐξάγαγε ἐκ φυλακῆς τὴν ψυχήν microου τοῦἐξοmicroολογήσασθαι τῷ ὀνόmicroατί σου

The Lord gives Me the tongue of thelearned so as to know when to speak a wordat a fitting time and He causes My ear tolisten each morning The Lords instructionopen My ears and I am not disobedient nordo I contradict Him I gave My back to whipsand My cheeks to blows and I turned notaway My face from the shame of spitting TheLord became My helper therefore I was notdisgraced But I made My face like a solidrock and knew I would not be ashamed ForHe who pronounces Me righteous draws near

Lord not my feet only but also my handsand my head Jesus said to him He who hasbathed does not need to wash except for hisfeet but he is clean all over and you are cleanbut not every one of you For he knew whowas to betray him that was why he said Youare not all clean When he had washed theirfeet and taken his garments and resumed hisplace he said to them Do you know what Ihave done to you You call me Teacher andLord and you are right for so I am If I thenyour Lord and Teacher have washed yourfeet you also ought to wash one anothersfeet For I have given you an example thatyou also should do as I have done to youTruly truly I say to you a servant is notgreater than his master nor is he who is sentgreater than he who sent him If you knowthese things blessed are you if you do themAnd as they were eating he said Truly I sayto you one of you will betray me And theywere very sorrowful and began to say to himone after another Is it I Lord He answeredHe who has dipped his hand in the dish withme will betray me The Son of man goes asit is written of him but woe to that man bywhom the Son of man is betrayed It wouldhave been better for that man if he had notbeen born Judas who betrayed him saidIs it I Master He said to him You havesaid so Now as they were eating Jesus tookbread and blessed and broke it and gaveit to the disciples and said Take eat this ismy body And he took a cup and when hehad given thanks he gave it to them sayingDrink of it all of you for this is my blood ofthe covenant which is poured out for manyfor the forgiveness of sins I tell you I shall

to give thanks to You to glorify You the only true Godand to offer to You this our spiritual worship with acontrite heart and a humble spirit For You have givenus to know Your truth Who is worthy to praise Yourmighty acts Or to make known all Your praises Ortell of all Your wonderful deeds at all times Masterof all things Lord of heaven and earth and of everycreature visible and invisible You are seated upon thethrone of glory and behold the depths You are withoutbeginning invisible incomprehensible beyond wordsunchangeable You are the Father of our Lord JesusChrist who is the great God and Savior of our hopethe image of Your goodness the true seal of revealingin Himself You the Father He is the living Wordthe true God eternal wisdom life sanctificationpower and the true light Through Him the HolySpirit was manifested the spirit of truth the gift ofSonship the pledge of our future inheritance the firstfruits of eternal blessings the life giving power thesource of sanctification through whom every rationaland spiritual creature is made capable of worshipingYou and giving You eternal glorification for allthings are subject to You For You are praised by theangels archangels thrones dominions principalitiesauthorities powers and the many eyed CherubimRound about You stand the Seraphim one with sixwings and the other with six wings with two theycover their faces with two they cover their feet withtwo they fly crying out to one another with unceasingvoices and everresounding praises

brought to life in Him Your Christ He lived in thisworld and gave us precepts of salvation Releasingus from the delusions of idolatry He guided us to thesure knowledge of You the true God and Father Heacquired us for Himself as His chosen people a royalpriesthood a holy nation Having cleansed us by waterand sanctified us with the Holy Spirit He gave Himselfas ransom to death in which we were held captive soldunder sin Descending into Hades through the crossthat He might fill all things with Himself He loosedthe bonds of death He rose on the third day havingopened a path for all flesh to the resurrection from thedead since it was not possible that the Author of lifewould be dominated by corruption So He becamethe first fruits of those who have fallen asleep thefirst born of the dead that He might be Himself thefirst in all things Ascending into heaven He sat atthe right hand of Your majesty on high and He willcome to render to each according to His works Asmemorials of His saving passion He has left us thesegifts which we have set forth before You according toHis commands For when He was about to go forth toHis voluntary ever memorable and life-giving deathon the night on which He was delivered up for thelife of the world He took bread in His holy and purehands and presenting it to You God and Father andoffering thanks blessing sanctifying and breaking it

Ἀποστόλοις εἰπών Λάβετε φάγετε τοῦτόmicroού ἐστι τὸ Σῶmicroα τὸ ὑπὲρ ὑmicroῶν κλώmicroενονεἰς ἄφεσιν ἁmicroαρτιῶν

He gave it to His holy disciples andapostles saying Take eat this is mybody which is broken for you and for theforgiveness of sins

Likewise He took the cup of the fruit of vineand having mingled it offering thanks blessing andsanctifying it

Do this in remembrance of me For as often asyou eat this Bread and drink this Cup you proclaimmy death and you confess my resurrection ThereforeMaster we also remembering His saving passion andlife giving cross His three day burial and resurrectionfrom the dead His ascension into heaven andenthronement at Your right hand God and Father andHis glorious and awesome second coming

Therefore most holy Master we also Yoursinful and unworthy servants whom You have madeworthy to serve at Your holy altar not because of ourown righteousness (for we have not done anythinggood upon the earth) but because of Your mercy andcompassion which You have so richly poured upon uswe dare to approach Your holy altar and bring forththe symbols of the holy Body and Blood of Your ChristWe pray to You and call upon You O Holy of Holiesthat by the favor of Your goodness Your Holy Spiritmay come upon us and upon the gifts here presentedto bless sanctify

And make this bread to be the precious Body ofour Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ

And this cup to be the precious Blood of our Lordand God and Savior Jesus Christ

Shed for the life and salvation of the world
