As we celebrate the Feast of our namesake, the Holy Family, we remember that the primary purpose of the Church in instituting and promoting this

feast is to present the Holy Family as the model and exemplar of all Christian families. The family is an example of love and devotion to each other in good times and bad. Please celebrate this time with joy and thanks. The Knights of Columbus St. Michael Council 4548 and the Cardinal Gibbons Assembly 150 would like to wish everyone at Holy Family Church a Happy & Prosperous New Year with many blessings. To become a Knight, contact Tony Malafronti (302) 530-1016 or Joel Watson (302) 373-6617 or online at: https://www.kofc.org/apps/newjoin/en/registration/index.html You can also use the camera on your smart phone to direct you to the website by focusing it on the square picture in this message.

CHRIST SPOKE OF THE TALENTS each one of us has, talents which must not buried. Our calling is to take those talents, develop them fully, and then use them in establishing His kingdom on earth. Are you using your talents to fulfill your vocation to service? Are you an active Christian in the parish, at your workplace, and in the home? Take some time today to reflect on how you might use your special talents in the service of the Kingdom.

Ulster Project Delaware (UPD) is currently seeking adventuresome applicants, aged 14 -16, for its 44th annual month-long peace, service and leadership project in July 2020.

American teens and their families host Protestant and Catholic teens from Northern Ireland as they seek to learn tolerance, build understanding and gain lifelong friendships. All teens participate in day trips to NYC, DC, Philadelphia, Hershey Park and the beach; service projects; leadership and team building events; visits to various places of worship; and fun local outings. Teens of all faiths and nationalities are encouraged to apply. The cost is minimal and the experience is priceless! Applications are now being accepted. Visit www.ulsterprojectdelaware.org for more information and email any questions to [email protected] or call Ruth Langrehr at 302.893.1878. Please join us on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 1:30 pm for an Information session at the Kirk-wood Highway Library, 6000 Kirkwood Highway.

It is that time of year to make you aware of Operation Snow-flake, the cancellation of classes. In the event of a snow storm, we follow the Christina School District cancellations for all day-time and evening activities. In

other words, if they are closed, we are closed. We will also send a REMIND to all our families and an email to ensure you know we have closed. Please keep in mind that it is always your call to keep your child home if you feel unsafe driving. Be safe out there!

a week later in 2020. Dates are:
