Confirmation 2017 A letter was sent to your home inviting you to join us this year for the preparation of Confirmation. If you did

not receive a letter and you feel you are eligible, please contact our office or email us as soon as possible. We look

forward to seeing you at the meeting!

The Confirmation Information Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 8th in the Parish Hall from 1:15-3pm.

If you are a highs school student and feel that you are ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2017,

this meeting is for you! Requirements for eligibility are: you are currently in a religious education program or

Catholic School, have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, attend and practice your faith

regularly, and have a desire to complete the final Sacrament of Initiation – Confirmation. This program is not

limited to or considered a graduation from your faith formation – it is just the beginning! Our hope and

expectation is that you are ready to participate fully in the program by engaging in all of the program

requirements. It is designed to investigate, serve, and develop a deeper relationship with Christ. Some may not

be ready for this – and that is OK! Come to our information meeting and see if this year is your year to start

your Confirmation journey.

THANK YOU FROM THE ST. VINCENT DEPAUL SOCIETY

Thank you to everyone who

donates to the SVDP Poor

Boxes and to those who

make regular monetary

donations to SVDP.

With your help, we are able to provide assistance to

those less fortunate in the Community and in our

Parish Family.

The goal of the St. Vincent dePaul

Society is to bring the love and peace

of Christ to those who are

suffering. We thank you for allowing

our ministry to do that.

SILENT PRAYER: Our parish has a group of

people who will earnestly pray for any needs you have.

This is done anonymously via a telephone prayer chain.

If you have a special need for which you are in need of

prayer call:731-4297, 738-3033, 894-0726 or737-1333

and we will pray for you.

SNOW WATCH !! In the

even of a severe storm and a

State of Emergency is called,

all parish offices are closed

and all liturgies and program-

ming are cancelled. In each

case, the obligation to attend

Sunday liturgy is dispensed.

Mass intentions are, of course, rescheduled. Before

venturing out, it is always wise to call the parish

office to check our open or closed status. Personal

safety (yours and others on the road) is our main

concern. Listen to WJBR, WSTW, WDEL OR

WILM radio for announcements.

“And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her

heart.” Sometimes we need to reflect on how to let God

live with us in our marriages. Explore how by attending a WorldWide Marriage Encounter weekend on March 24-26, 2017 in Rehoboth Beach, DE. For more in-formation, visit our website at www.wwme-delmar.org or to register for the weekend, please call Tony & Linda Massino @ 302-220-9833.

(New Years) Traditionally people make

resolutions to improve themselves at the

beginning of the year. In marriage, since you

are united in love, what improves one spouse

also improves the other. What marriage

building practice do you want to start or

continue during 2017?
