As a heads up

the Confirmation Mass this

year will take place at the

We expect this Mass to be very crowded.

Mass, please be prepared for

the crowds, or you might want

ST. VINCENT DePAUL THANKSGIVING BASKETS

Once again the St. Vincent DePaul Society will be providing

Thanksgiving Baskets to the

needy families of our Parish and community.

If you are able to donate a turkey for these baskets, a signup sheet is provided in the gathering space.

If you do not get a chance to sign up, we still want your turkeys !

Turkeys should be brought to the hall the weekend of November 19/20. Our members will be at each

mass to assist.

Other items needed to complete the meal, such as stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes,

canned vegetables and gravy may also be donated.

Please place these items in a bag marked “THANKSGIVING” and place them in the large box in the

foyer.

Money contributions and scrip cards toward this project are greatly appreciated and

should be labeled St. Vincent DePaul and delivered to the church office. Thank you for

your continued generosity to the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Without your help we would

not be able to provide a “Happy Thanksgiving” to families less fortunate.

God Bless Holy Family.

ADULT FORMATION: The Tour of the Eastern Shore was outstanding! The weather was a perfect accompaniment for

the beautiful setting that each of the churches provided. In many ways, it was like stepping back in time as we walked

through the small county churches and adjoining cemeteries in the middle of seemingly nowhere. The Diocese of Wilming-

ton is rich in history. What was unexpected was the gift of location that each of these little gems provided. Much more

than a tour, it was truly a day of awe and wonder!

Save the Date: Fr. Mark's Family Day of Reflection: Saturday, December 3rd. 9am Mass followed by conti-

nental breakfast, group activity, reflection and prayer. Signups and additional information coming soon!

In the Gospel this week we meet the familiar character of

Zacchaeus, the tax collector. Short in stature, Zacchaeus climbs

a tree to see and get a closer look at Jesus. He welcomes Jesus

into his home and has a conversion of heart. Bring it Home this

week by discussing how your family would welcome Jesus into

your home. Be open to God’s call to enter your heart as well as

your home. Do your words and actions at home show others

that Jesus is part of your household?
