For over a century, Holland & Company

has imported English and European antiques

and reproductions for sale to the design trade.

It all began in 1903 when Walter Browne

formed a company (W.E. Browne Decorating)

in Atlanta, which became the South’s first

full-service interior design firm, decorating

only the finest homes throughout the

country and even decorating rooms in the

White House. The Browne Company

tradition continues today at Holland &

Company, which was founded in 1971.

Holland & Company Antiques was the

first antiques importer in Atlanta to serve

the trade exclusively. Thus, antiques have

been a passion with Holland & Company

for many years. And through years of

antiquing in Europe, we have gained an

in-depth knowledge of period furnishings

and an eye for great design.

There is a sense of history in England that

lives on even today in our fast paced modern

world. Our craftsmen take pride in what we

build and how they build it for you and your

family. They take pride in knowing what

they create today will be passed down for

We know trends may come and go, but our

pieces stay grounded around a traditional

hand knotted rug, an avocado green shag rug,

a linoleum floor, or a natural fiber sisal. Just

like a timeless Prada hand bag or a classic

Chanel dress – these styles are here to stay.

European Craftsmanship

The Introduction of Aged Reproductions

In the early 1990s, the demand for antiques outpaced the supply. Drawing on years of

experience collecting and selling European antiques, Holland & Company combined

its in-depth knowledge of period furnishings and eye for great design to develop Aged

Reproductions ~ a collection of fine furniture with the appearance and character

of genuine antiques. The company employs a pool of talented antiques restorers,

skilled cabinet-makers, and French polishers who create new furniture pieces with

an authentic antique look.

Preserving the Traditions of Europe’s Best

Made of the finest woods available, Aged Reproductions reflect the best of 18th and

19th century design and traditional European methods of furniture crafting. Bench-

made in the company’s workshops by expert cabinetmakers, each piece is authentically

distressed, then meticulously finished and polished by hand to achieve the mellow

patina characteristic of period furniture.

Represented nationwide by Lee Jofa showrooms, Holland & Company’s offerings

satisfy the high standards of interior design professionals. This catalog showcases

the current selections, and new designs are constantly added to the collection.

Custom capabilities allow clients to order select items that can be tailored to

individual specifications.
