season, should help our course. The fertilization willbe repeated in September.Six tee boxes will be redone this summer. As a result,we will have six temporary tee boxes while they aregrowing in. Please be patient while work is beingdone; equipment will not be shut down while golfersare teeing off.Surveying has been completed to install a culvertacross the #1 fairway. This is being done to preventflooding on the back nine. Bids for this work will besubmitted and we will go from there.Tee blocks are put in place by the mowing staff.There is a reason why they are placed where they are;please do not move them!The driving range is a maintained as a conveniencefor our golfers. Please make the effort to pick up yourballs when you are done with your practice; therehave been complaints that this is not happening. Southport Springs Pkwy. I am also seeing cars that don’t stop at Ranger and Southport Springs Pkwy. Thespeed limit and stop signs are there for a reason. It is a safety issue and we all need to be more aware ofhow we are driving in the community.Golf Carts: There have been a lot of children driving the golf carts again. You must be a licensed driver todrive golf carts. Also please do not allow the children to hang off the back of the carts, this is verydangerous. Golf carts must obey the same rules of the road as cars. Please do not drive across the roadsfrom the golf course without stopping and looking to make sure there are no cars, someone is going to gethurt if this continues.Hurricane Info Letters: You should have received a letter with your bill with all the hurricane info. If youdid not get one please stop by the office and pick one up. There is a lot of good information in it. In case wehave a hurricane this year. Hurricane season begins June 1st.Pool Safety: This is the time of year we have a lot of guest visiting, especially grandchildren. Please helpkeep everyone safe, do not allow the kids to jump or dive in the pool. Thefairways are turning green and a good part of thereason for that is the rain and the chicken poop.They are doing the aeration on Wed and thatshould help the greens some. The word is that wewill have it done every year from now own.On Tues. of this week they are also starting to tillup some of the tee boxes on the back and new sodis being ordered to put on top of the tee boxes.They are suppose to be leveling them out andredoing them.At the last Golf meeting I asked everyone to writeletters so that I could mail them on to managementand let them know what kind of conditions themembers are playing on here. I have received atotal of 8 letters. I do hope that some of themembers wrote their letters and mailed them ontheir own.Everett Holdridge did get a hole in one thismonth. Broadband Problems Firecracker Ice PopsIngredients: 1/2 pounds (1 1/2 cups)

Strawberries hulled andquartered.

1/4 cups sugar 1/2 pounds blueberries 1 1/4 cups low-fat plain yogurt.

Directions:1. in a food processor, puree strawberries with 1tablespoon sugar, transfer to a small bowl. Inprocessor, puree blueberries with 1 tablespoonsugar. In another small bowl, whisk togetheryogurt and 2 tablespoons sugar. Pour the 3mixtures, alternating, into ten 3 ounce ice-popmolds, making 3 to 5 layers in each. With askewer or thin bladed knife, swirl mixturestogether in an up and down motion. Insert ice-popsticks and freeze until solid, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
