The new high efficient generation of screw compressorsand shell and tubes evaporators with dry expansion,increase the efficiency of our systems. Through the useof R134a, and a cooling circuit that includes an econo-mizer, we can reach the right result whilst maintainingthe cost vs efficiency debate.

The use of electronic expansion valves and advancedcontrol systems, allow us to guarantee the highest ener-gy savings. In fact because of the PID control and regu-lation of superheat ensures the efficiency of the refriger-ation circuit is maximised.

Speed control of the condenser fans by inverters, allowthe minimal use of energy no matter what the externalambient. At Hitema we pride ourselves on the full andpartial load efficiency ratings of our systems, maximisingthe highest ESEER or IPLV figures of our products.

Our free cooling system is managed to maximize heatexchange and guarantees heat extraction no matter whatthe external environmental conditions or process load.Our use of modulating free cooling valves, combined withour variable speed fans allows us to reach the best solu-tion in any climatic conditions, from -40ºC winter temper-atures to summer temperatures in excess of 50ºC.

• ECONOMIZER APPLICATION

The economizer is a devicedesigned to improve both cool-ing capacity and efficiency ofthe system, by providing anadditional sub-cooling,achieved with the addition ofan intermediate plate heatexchanger, expansion valveand the cross flow refrigerantcircuits.

Principle of operation The compression in a screw compressor takesplace by means of high speed rotors drawingcoolant into the rotor grooves of the opposingrotor teeth. They transport the volume, that issteadily reduced and so it is compressed, fromsuction pressure to condensing pressure.The pressure at the additional middle connection(economised port) is similar to the intermediatepressure with a two-stage system.As a result of these features, a screw compressorof this design can be combined with an additionalsub-cooling circuit for “two stage ofcompression”. These measures result in increased refrigerationcapacity due to additional sub-cooled liquidentering the evaporator. The power consumptionof the compressor increases only slightly whencompared to the additional cooling performance.

• ECONOMIZER APPLICATION

Principle of operation The compression in a screw compressor takesplace by means of high speed rotors drawingcoolant into the rotor grooves of the opposingrotor teeth. They transport the volume, that issteadily reduced and so it is compressed, fromsuction pressure to condensing pressure.The pressure at the additional middle connection(economised port) is similar to the intermediatepressure with a two-stage system.As a result of these features, a screw compressorof this design can be combined with an additionalsub-cooling circuit for “two stage ofcompression”. These measures result in increased refrigerationcapacity due to additional sub-cooled liquidentering the evaporator. The power consumptionof the compressor increases only slightly whencompared to the additional cooling performance.

• ECONOMIZER APPLICATION

The economizer is a devicedesigned to improve both cool-ing capacity and efficiency ofthe system, by providing anadditional sub-cooling,achieved with the addition ofan intermediate plate heatexchanger, expansion valveand the cross flow refrigerantcircuits.

Principle of operation The compression in a screw compressor takesplace by means of high speed rotors drawingcoolant into the rotor grooves of the opposingrotor teeth. They transport the volume, that issteadily reduced and so it is compressed, fromsuction pressure to condensing pressure.The pressure at the additional middle connection(economised port) is similar to the intermediatepressure with a two-stage system.As a result of these features, a screw compressorof this design can be combined with an additionalsub-cooling circuit for “two stage ofcompression”. These measures result in increased refrigerationcapacity due to additional sub-cooled liquidentering the evaporator. The power consumptionof the compressor increases only slightly whencompared to the additional cooling performance.

The new high efficient generation of screw compressorsand shell and tubes evaporators with dry expansion,increase the efficiency of our systems. Through the useof R134a, and a cooling circuit that includes an econo-mizer, we can reach the right result whilst maintainingthe cost vs efficiency debate.

The use of electronic expansion valves and advancedcontrol systems, allow us to guarantee the highest ener-gy savings. In fact because of the PID control and regu-lation of superheat ensures the efficiency of the refriger-ation circuit is maximised.

Speed control of the condenser fans by inverters, allowthe minimal use of energy no matter what the externalambient. At Hitema we pride ourselves on the full andpartial load efficiency ratings of our systems, maximisingthe highest ESEER or IPLV figures of our products.
