With non locking operators, an electric lock must be fittedto the gate that opens first.

NOTE WELLAll the oil-hydraulic operators, once installed, must be adjusted tothe gate weight through the safety pressure valves. The valve “OPEN”must be set at a higher pressure than “CLOSE”. The electric cableis supplied by the manufacturers with the operator in a suitablelength and must be free to dangle. A remote control with uniquecode, an electronic programmer with several functions and safetyaccessories make the equipment fully automatic.

WARNINGS• Should the operator be removed for maintenance, servicing or

repair, tighten the air bleeding screw to prevent oil coming out ofthe reservoir during transport.

• Do not throw away waste oil and packaging materials (cardboard,polystyrene, nylon) which must be disposed of properly through aspecialised company.

• All the electrical equipment must be properly earthed.

Oil-hydraulic gate operator HINDI 880 is anelectro-hydraulic unit fully self contained inthat it encloses in itself all the parts for thegeneration and transmission of the motionto the gate by means of: electric motor, pumpand oil distributing valve assembly that allowsthe shaft to move in and out and thereforeto open and close the gate. It is weather-proof and designed to be easily installed toany gates by means of a bolt and fixing plates,one to the gate and one to the gate post,pillar or brick pier. Its technical features arethe result of accurately designed andmachined electric and mechanical parts, aguarantee of optimum performance and longlasting reliability. The electric motor has aclass H winding and can well withstand thehigh increase in temperature duringoperations. It is coupled to the hydraulicpump/valve block by a special joint with twobearings so that the pump output revolutionsare maintained constant. The pump is a lobetype, very smooth running. It is made ofspecial steel material and is accurately testedto achieve a long lasting unit. The valveassembly is in the mid section of the operator,protected inside a suitable enclosure andwell integrated in the shape and design ofthe whole mechanism.Of new engineering conception, the assemblyincorporates all the valves that control therequired operations; the safety pressure valvesfor open and close, manual release, air bleed.With a key, that is supplied with the operator,it is possible to open the top lid and adjustthe valves, which are properly identified withyellow stickers.Two-way hydraulic locking:it is a device incorporated in the hydrauliccircuit in the valve assembly and it can 'lock',ie. hold the operator shaft (and consequently

the gate) in any desired position in eitherdirection Open or Close. The locking devicebecomes operational when the electric motorstops; in events like power failure, manualoperations are only possible by releasingthis device first. The release valve is alsolocated in the mid section under the coverlid and is to be turned anti-clockwise with aspecial spanner supplied with the equipment.Turn this valve clockwise to bring the operatorback to its working condition. Bleeding theair out of the oil reservoir is essential to theperformance of the unit. To this purpose, turnthe air bleed screw by 1 to 2 turns by usinga screwdriver. Re-tighten this screw toprevent oil coming out should the operatorever be removed for service or transport.HINDI 880, thanks to its improved technicalfeatures, is smoother and even more reliablethan the previous range of swinging gateoperators, even in very severe environmentconditions (–25°C +80°C). It is built withstate-of-the-art technology, by using topquality materials and parts in full conformitywith the European safety standards toachieve a long lasting, reliable unit. Thecover, which is made of extruded, anodizedaluminium, is the result of an accurate studyaiming to a shape which is ideal in matchingany gate pattern and providing functionalmounting. The piston shaft is made of steeland is chromium treated to meet weather-proof requirements.

The front end is fitted with a shock mountball joint, adjustable, to ensure flexibilityand suitable clearance at joining parts duringthe motion.
