Citation fun!

We use Noodletools, but many universities are going to provide a more robust citation tool, ie: ProCite or Refworks.

These will help you organize your notes/sources/citations and will also help you navigate styles that are new to you. Ask your librarian to teach you how to use them.

• “It seems so simple, but just learning how to use scanners, photocopiers, etc, would have been really useful. Because it costs money to print & copy it is helpful to know how to be efficient with all the machines (e.g. double siding, getting multiple pages on one side of the sheet, etc).”

• ”My university offers a tour of the library at the beginning of each year and I took it in my second year and it was amazing. I'd encourage people to go, even if it seems super dorky ;)”

• Used print more than he thought – good amount of information not available online or is expensive (eg. Perry’s Chemical Handbook)

• Library is overwhelming at first and librarians will not seek you out – you need to take initiative and won’t be the first to ask the question
